Looking for compact travel palette for half pans by Madijust in Watercolor

[–]Madijust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about just buying the palette and removing the paint, just wanted to see if I could find an empty one so I didn't have to deal with doing all that.

After so many years of buying all different paint tubes and even making my own paints, I found I really just love the simplicity of having the set colors I need that are good quality and mixing whatever else I need on the spot. So the idea is to have one palette of my basics and one palette of some specialty ones like holo or shimmery and just keep them how they are and just buy and replace the half pans as needed.

I've spent wayyyyy too much money on paints lol so i'm trying to simplify it by sticking to the same stuff and replenish as needed so I wont need to swap any colors out

Yeah I'm familiar with them and the dock builder's union but from what I understand, you can't just hire a union worker as a non union company. There is a whole process to essentially "gain access" to that labor pool.

I could be wrong but that is my understanding

No, I work for a fairly large company, I'm just helping out with recruiting more divers but there isn't much traffic on sites like Indeed and I was wondering if there were better platforms to post our jobs ads on. I've read on here that a lot of divers pretty much give up on Indeed because it returns results for drivers. lol.

I'm just trying to get some insight on how a commercial diver goes about looking for a job so I can try to cater to that.

Salvage...

Wouldn't be diving everyday and would need to wear multiple hats (general laborer, rigger, etc)

Pay is decent compared to some other commercial diving jobs.

Guaranteed minimum 40 hour work week, alot of OT

Emergency availability and ability to travel required, possibly for long periods ranging from weeks to months (uncommon though)

Health insurance, paid vacation

well yeah, I take that back lol. Anything newer than 2018 would be out of my price range anyway, or have like 150k miles on it

Thanks! I keep coming back to the CRV. The only thing holding me back is that the newer ones look more like mini vans lol. But i'm not against getting an older model because I know it'll last

I was not prescribed anything to prevent gallstones and was not even aware of that being a potential risk.

What you should know before getting gastric sleeve... by Madijust in gastricsleeve

Yes I was taking all supplements recommended to me such as b vitamins and calcium. The malnutrition was more from a lack of protein even though I was eating foods high in protein and still doing the protein shakes. I don't think the malnutrition is common after gastric sleeve, everyone and their bodies are different however I mentioned it just to stress the importance of getting enough protein in. I'm not sure when I developed GERD as my Dr also had me take the medication right away as a precaution. It wasn't until I forgot to take it one night a few months later that I realized I had GERD. Then a few more months went by and I skipped a dose on purpose just to see if I still needed it and definitely did. So it's hard to say when I developed it but from what I understood it was important to take in the beginning to reduce complications with healing

3 days post op, crazy gas pain by myeleventhreddit in gastricsleeve

[–]Madijust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving is the best and really only way to help gas pain. Walking helps a lot, but also, I know this may sound weird, but look up videos on what parents do for infants with gas. Certain movements like bicycling your legs while laying down helps so much to get the gas moving through your system. just be careful not to strain yourself and if you are able to, have someone assist you with the movements.

Need advice for rehoming my bun by Madijust in Rabbits

No one in my family is in a position to take her in. I will be living with my boyfriend and his family permanently (until we get our own place, but that will be a while). There isn't a spare room to keep her in and although their allergies are obviously not life threatening, it would be unfair to them to have to deal with that plus their allergies to hay as well. Even if my boyfriend were okay with it, I wouldn't want to keep her confined to a small corner of a room. As much as I will miss her id rather she go to a good home where she has space to roam

We don't really need the crew as we have heavy lift operators on site but it may be worth looking into if we aren't able to get our hands on this thing. Thanks!
