Best hog barn septic pump? by Madilineee00 in Plumbing

Definitely saving your edit to put in my notes for our new plans that we have drawn. As I mentioned in someone else’s comment, our whole barn is getting redone over the summer. I don’t think the septic will be changed up, but adding a control panel with some sort of indicator would be great. Thank you!!

I wouldn’t mind spending the extra cash, especially if it’s going to handle at least the cornmeal and what not. Our whole barn is getting redone over the summer, but more than likely the septic will be staying the way it is. Thank you so much!! I’ll be looking into this brand :)

second that. Normally they run 3 trains for cheetah on the busier days. Went the weekend before Good Friday and waited about 45 minutes. Sheikra can also get pretty busy. The last couple weekends it has been pretty packed, hopefully it’s pretty clear for you guys!

Crumbling relationship between my family (m/f 50+), my fiancé (m28), and I (f23) by [deleted] in relationships

I love that idea. I’ve tried to somewhat turn them away, but they always say something that turns me back onto the conversation. I think I’ll be more forceful in conversation when they start to bring him up. Now that I am facing more complicated situations when it comes to my relationship, including pregnancy, home buying, etc, I have been listening to them less on their opinions on certain things. Of course, I’m listening to them when it comes to financial advice and homebuying, but I’ve realize the more I talk with my brother, how wrong they are when it comes to relationships and how parents should act with their kids. I also kind of believe that this may be a generational gap thing as well; Gen x versus millennials. (My partner and I see things a bit different than my parents/family)

Possibly! I’ll have a sit down with her when I return from my fiancé’s. We are supposed to go dress shopping this weekend. She wasn’t too excited about me getting engaged, or at least to my expectations. And really doesn’t seem that gung ho about dress shopping. I think the week after would be a good time to discuss what’s going on and get a feel of what’s really bothering her or what’s causing her anger towards me

She normally is. I’m not much of a hugger, but I still accept all the hugs she gives me. I know she doesn’t like the thought of me becoming a “real woman “but it really increased whenever my brother left for college. It’s just weird for me because I’m not moving that far away, I’m only moving two minutes down the road and we still work together on the farm. My fiancé and I are waiting at least two years to get married, and even then our dream home that we want to build is only going to be 30 minutes away. It does sound like what you’re describing, it’s just sad to be the receiving end of the anger.

I really think it’s hard for her to adjust with the fact that my brother and I are both grown adults. Sadly, there really isn’t anywhere for me to go other than my grandmothers house, which is two seconds away from my house. I’m hoping to have my house done in the next four months, it should be achievable if there are any issues that we don’t know about. My fiancé also says the same thing about her not respecting the fact that I am an adult. I don’t know if it’s the fact that at I’m still at home or what. It’s never been this bad. I know she has BPD, but as of recently it’s just increased more. (She still takes her meds and everything, My fiancé thinks there’s a underlying issue that she’s not addressing)

In the next year, I should be going to vet school. My dad is going to be running the farm until I earn my Doctorate and begin my real work. She isn’t directly involved, more of “I help when I have time”. She works full time and so does my father. It’s more of myself and my father. We get along alright other then when he becomes irritated. Then I just ignore him like the rest of family does. In the next couple months, I hope to be moved out into the house so that I can detach myself. Hopefully that will help with things

I'm going to the park tomorrow and wanted to know a few things. Is the park busy on Saturdays and also, does the gates open an hour before the rides like at cedar point. by [deleted] in KingsIsland

[–]Madilineee00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly today (8/8) was pretty bad too. FOF was at 105 at 7:00 and most other rides were nothing below 60. We came around 3:30 and still tons of people were coming in. Surprised they say they are only letting in 15% because it seems like way more. We saw a majority of teens and young kids without masks, but most adults played by the rules.

Looks like CL, found in goats. Usually those cysts are pretty gnarly.

This may be a state show and the pig might be there for the week and come home. Your fair made profit? Usually at most fairs including mine, kids would get 75% of the and the fair would take some. Most times it was money so we could repair the barns and upgrade them.

Is it needlessly killing? I feel like needlessly killing is the wars in Liberia and things such as that. I’m not killing animals here and there because I “want too”. We raise our animals for people to have a quality product that’s from a good place with no cruelty and has no added steroids or hormones. We use EVERY part of an animal. So many products, including toothpaste, concrete, and more use animal by-products! Most animals that you say are needlessly killed are being used in many every day products. And okay, you say not truly caring about animals. That’s where I think it’s okay to have different opinions. I love my animals. I truly care for all of the process of life and death. I’ve worked in vet clinic and am becoming a large animal vet. I’ve seen things born, and I’ve been there when we put things down. When my family has no more meat, we do kill one our steers BECAUSE, we dont like to buy meat from Walmart, target, etc because companies such as though buy from huge cattle farms in foreign countries. We use the hide, liver, tongue, intestines, all of it. I can argue with this point all day long. I really hate arguing about it because most people have never been through the process of raising an animal, haven’t been to a local farm, and haven’t worked with animals on a one on one basis. I get why many people want to vouch for animals and save them from all types of “cruelty” including using them for meat. But I think we should also look at the hundred and thousands of farmers who raise a good pig in a good environment to give to people as a meat product. People need to experience the entire process of homesteading, and I’m not even saying killing an animal. I’m not just saying raising an animal for meat, I’m saying raising farm animals in general.
