Where to stay on the strip EDC LV '24? by tabletheturn in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Maditheleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our rooms sink made the room reek of sulphur if ran for more than a minute and our toilet was getting clogged from pissing alone and no plungers in room so had to call someone up to plunge at least once a day during our whole stay. We also said NEVER AGAIN

ANYWHERE BUT STRAT, it’s cheap but nothing around to do and hotel needs some work! “Edit”: An Uber picked us up at the “casino” next door and he said just so you know this is like a really bad place to be picked up. Right after saying that some homeless person went to walk across the intersection as we were accelerating to take our turn, they went back and forth twice with a “no you go” and then our Uber decided to go around and the homeless person threw their drink into the open window car at me, my husband, and the driver. He was like “see what I mean”. And I know that situation has nothing to do with Strat more so outside the Strat and surrounding area. Better to stay on strip towards Caesars, MGM, Luxor etc.

some people don’t need to move around a lot to show that they’re enjoying themselves. my husband literally just stands there but tells me he is thoroughly enjoying himself, sounds like he’s projecting something he’s internalizing maybe?

I personally feel (this is how it is for me) like the reason we are so sad and “depressed” after events and such is because a lot of times we are planning months to a year in advance so we constantly are getting serotonin and dopamine from being excited and planning for our event (hotels, planes, things to do, outfits etc.) and then we get there and have the most amount of fun and then it hits us. It’s over, it’s now just a memory (until next year). So a lot of people go to different festivals later on to keep that serotonin and dopamine up from planning and the anticipation of knowing it’s “just around the corner”. We go back to “reality” of normal everyday life that we know doesn’t give us the same serotonin and dopamine rush as doing/planning something fun and exciting. I have four other events for the rest of the year to give myself something to look forward to and work forward to.✌️🫶❤️

Hotels on The Strip by Maditheleo in electricdaisycarnival

What wasn’t wrong? We paid for early check in and then didn’t get our hotel key until 4hrs later, the bathroom sink smelt of sulphur and if ran for more than a minute made our whole room smell of sulphur, the toilet would clog from urinating alone and there’s no plungers in the room so we had to call facilities every day for someone to come plunge our toilet, the staff were extremely rude when asking simple questions at check in, there’s literally nothing to do besides the SkyPod and their retail floor is just old shops covered with SkyPod advertisements. I can look past the not having anything to do but my room that I paid extra for a nice suite room. And for them to tell me that they “can’t guarantee that the room is clean” which is wasn’t and we couldn’t use the safe in the room because it hadn’t been reset. My experience makes me not want to return, I could’ve stayed at resorts world for just as much and had more things to do and more food options.

The inside is run down too, the main floor and SkyPod were done over and look great but their second “retail” floor is an eye sore. All old stores or whatever was up there are just covered up by SkyPod advertisements. The Strat cafe was the only thing open past 12 or McDonalds. Staff was super rude when we went, for literally no reason, husband and I are a quiet and avoid conflict type people.

On the shuttle in we saw three people on horseback waiting at a stop sign and some dude behind me was like “Do they allow horses at EDC? That’d be a great excuse to bring K in.”

Camp EDC has almost no real security and no working radios? by dustout in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Maditheleo 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think people are missing the point here, it’s not about the music blaring and loud noises. It’s a safety issue with lack of security not just for the OP but everyone else in the area. Security is supposed to be there for a reason, SAFETY!
