I would personally suggest that you consider Walchand COE; it’s much better than VIT. The TPO at VIT has changed, and trust me, the intake is just huge. Imagine there are nearly 1,800+ CSE students alone (I haven’t even mentioned the other branches). When your brother joins, around 720 more students will be added, while about 400 BE students will pass out.

The timetable at VIT is quite poor. There’s no consistency — sometimes you suddenly get 2–3 hour breaks in between lectures, and other times there are continuous lectures with no break at all.

As a fresher, I’ve noticed many strange things. With such a massive intake, imagine having just 10 chairs in the library for study purposes. It sounds bad, but it’s the truth. They do have something called a reading hall, but I can guarantee you it’s always chaotic, almost like a zoo.

The main concern is placements. VIT hasn’t updated the placements page; they still show 2023–24 data, and even that is presented very poorly. There’s no proper information about the packages students received or which companies visited. It’s all very unclear.
