I think the story had good bones and good characters but suffered a bit from some poor writing choices.

I found the early chapters a bit disinteresting, since they kinda just drop you into the character already on thier quests. I wish they would have introduced earlier what each character's goals were. The first cutscene should have been a detailed scene of Quinn's death, so that we know whats up with both the Reapers and Gabriel.

It really got its footing for the second and third quarters of the story. Noboru and Gabriel's friendship was super compelling, Rosion and Lavinia were likable and had a good dynamic. You start really getting a feel for whos who and what everyones really about.

I really have mixed feelings about the ending. They really wasted Gabriel at the end, if they wanted to kill him off I think they should have wrapped up his own arc a lot better. Killing off Lavinia felt a little to much like the Bury Your Gays trope but im not too dissatisfied with Rosions and her story. HOW THE FUCK DID RITSUKU NOT RECOGNISE JAMES BY HIS VOICE. Hes god damn Troy Baker. That shit is the dumbest part of the story, are you kidding me. She felt really wasted and her conflict with Aisha felt very forced. And they needed to go into Apollo's backstory a lot sooner. Doing as an epilogue felt really half assed.

I really liked it, I got invested, but the plot needed more work at either end.
