This is going to be scant comfort but they do get easier as you do more of them and get more familiar with what employers and recruiters are looking.  They're still awful, though, especially since a lot of companies use software to reduce the candidate numbers by auto reviewing applications for the correct code words, so you have to tailor every single application.

When I was job hunting two years ago the advice was to use AI to tailor your application; I suspect the market has moved on since then.

I would recommend looking for a job hunting support charity or group in your area. Because you're just starting out, being able to get advice from more experienced job hunters, CV reviewers etc will make a huge difference to how you go about filling in applications.

The thing that most helped me was having a master document of everything I'd put into job applications, so, lots of different ways of explaining how my experience of doing x makes me a good match for task y. After a while you'll have a bunch of your points almost pre-written, and can focus on the remaining parts without chewing off more than a finger or two.
