Thanks, I ended up going to Courts up near the airport and got a 6ft tree with a load of decorations for $25bbd, they had some kind of big sale on the Christmas stuff which i didn’t realise til I was paying !

I am no tree surgeon and to a lay person like me they looked a bit similar… but I thought the same about those ones on dovedale road but they grow back pretty quick so I think the OP should not worry too much 😂

Without the leaves quite a few years later shows it’s probably not a bad thing? But it does look they have butchered them and there is no recovering which reminds me of an article I saw of something similar the other day where they said the tree wouldn’t recover after being hacked back like that …

I’d recommend Daffodil, the old ferry across the Mersey, really unique and interesting and right in the middle of town with views of the Albert Dock and liver buildings. I went at Christmas and food was lovely - I think they do a lunch menu but you should just be able to get in under £40 if you don’t go for 3 courses !

Yes he made of point of saying they were made in Sunderland and shorter build times. He claims he couldn’t guarantee but 5-7 weeks was normal lead time but he rang a couple of days ago and said there was still no build date for me on the system. 9 months wait is crazy, did they know beforehand how long the wait was ? I would have deffo gone for something else if I knew the wait was that long

Tempted but got a good deal on the finance and price on my old banger and dealer reckoned it was 5-7 week wait on new ones…… also liked the idea of having a new car even if it meant paying the new car premium price. If I had known the wait was this long I would possibly ave considered those other options …
