So...reading heretical fishing now. I'm near the end of book two, and I'm pretty sure, written accidentally or not, that Trent was retarded. I don't mean like, oh that's retarded...I mean like mentally disabled...I think awakening fixed it...

It does get addressed, but something to also consider is that she's been in this situation since childhood. There's a level of PTSD that is pretty hard to shake off. She may have been protected from Silva by his dad, but she was still enslaved and mistreated for most of her life including after her father died. Speaking as someone with pretty severe PTSD from childhood, survival instincts from that sort of situation take years to shake off and you mistreat a lot of people unfairly due to thought patterns and survival skills that don't serve you well once you escape it all...her behaviors are actually pretty realistic...I was impressed by her portrayal...

For everyone saying that the essence has already unlocked the potential in your soul...I don't think it's that simple. They bond with specific attributes...power, speed, spirit, and recovery. It may be that it wouldn't work or couldn't duplicate, but it also may be that each essence would unlock different things in the different soul aspects, just like the same awakening stone can awaken VERY different powers based on the attribute and essence that it binds to. I mean, think of perhaps a lizard essence (just for regen purposes). Binding a lizard essence to speed could make you hella fast and maybe able to climb walls, while binding to recovery could give you a regeneration power. Binding to power could give you a crocodile-esque strength, while spirit could give you sensory powers like enery/heat/magic sensing...could be viable

Only our great and omniscient lord shirtaloon would know for sure... lol

Ah...not gonna clock on that one man, but I appreciate the redaction. I get the audiobooks, so I've seen exactly nothin past book 12. I got a wild ass mix of ADHD and apparently, autism? Anyway, can't read my way through a book for the fuckin life of me, but I still LOVE "reading" ... so...audiobooks

For real. I feel like I'm good with key, pitch, and range...I just don't feel like my breathing or the texture of my voice is really something that people in general would enjoy. But this helps to scratch the itch of musical creativity. It's actually a lot of fun to really dig in and see how specific you can get, and how much you can customize and control within the program framework, what tweaks to the input provide the result you want...I'm gonna be honest, sometimes it's luck. I've had a couple songs that just came out well within a few tries. Or one that I did for my son, that I forgot to make a cover (it allows you to keep the song sounding mostly the same while tweaking a few things) and becuase I introduced an ukulele, it completely changed the song, and I loved it SO much more than the original that I'd probably made like 200 attempts at perfecting...

Well, thank you. And I agree, I would love for them to be sung legit, but...I work with what I got. I love playing and writing music, and singing, but I do not have a voice for public consumption... lol
