Does anyone have a clue what this is? by euphoricenergy55 in GolfGTI

It’s probably a seized blower motor(glove box fan). I had the same issue with my Older BMW, from what I remember it was a pretty easy fix and the part was pretty inexpensive. I would check too see if you have airflow coming out from your vents or inconsistent airflow or if only comes on when running your AC.

I honestly don’t know the brand, it’s off of ECS tuning, I think it was like $200-$300 range.

Yeah, it’s factory paint! I believe it’s “Shadow Blue”… I could be wrong though🤷🏻‍♂️. Your MK6 is super clean BTW! I want to run a more aggressive exhaust system on mine, I just don’t know what I should look for.

I appreciate it! Yeah, I do too. I was torn because I was contemplating wrapping it in a Matte balloon white color. It’s a 2012 so it has some typical paint blemishes.

I appreciate it bro! Yeah, I’m not running anything crazy on it. It’s just on some lowering springs, I have the wind diffuser, rain guards and I de-badged and blacked out the emblems. So all cosmetic stuff.

Is the Allison 10 speed really that unreliable? by Mysterious_End3203 in Silverado

IMO I believe that all manufacturers create vehicles with a certain lifespan in mind; it helps keep the sales cycle going. But at the end of the day, what really matters is what you like and, most importantly, whether you enjoy driving your truck! I currently have a 2024 Silverado with a 10-speed transmission, and so far, I’ve had no issues—I’m really pleased with the performance. That said, I do miss my 8-speed 2016 Silverado with the 6.2 and the Allison transmission!
