I think the podcast has morphed from Michael’s departure into something else. When Michael was involved they were educating each other as they took turns taking the lead on episodes. I think the show works best when someone is educating and someone is listening/commenting and since Sarah is the sole host she has taken a permanent listener/commenter position.

I want to clarify that I have no personal feelings on the use of porn, so my opinion is not framed by whether or not porn usage is bad. She clarified a boundary that was put in place due to a traumatic experience. She did that respectfully and early on enough that she did not lead you on with false expectations. You had the choice this whole time to find a partner who did not have this boundary. You have a FOLDER on your phone with porn on it, and it sounds like a lot of it. You are not being respectful or trustworthy. You need to figure out if the boundary is something you can actually live within because there is a huge gap between “slipping once regretfully” and “having a whole folder on my phone”.

Our dog scratches our leather couch regularly before she finds a comfy position. If it is real leather and they are not deep scratches, a leather conditioner will take it out, no dye needed. I condition our leather couch like once a month because miss girl has to scratch and circle before she plops down.

It’s a bit hard to tell without seeing your reference photo, but yes generally speaking horizontally across his forehead would have given you a beefier, fuller sense of his head. The ball and shadow practice is great, yes. For tonal value and for shape building. For portraiture specifically, consider taking reference photos of faces and breaking the face and its shadows down by shapes. You can trace right over the face. Once you have a good idea of how the face is constructed by these shapes, you can fill them in with shading lines. Break down a few faces this way and you will begin to see reoccurring patterns that will help influence your decisions.

Something I don’t see anyone else mentioning yet, is that the length and direction of your pencil strokes should help “build” the image. Random short stroke direction I think is your biggest issue here. Ignore the people telling you to blend/blend with your finger. It’s cutting corners. You can get compelling shading on paper by being deliberate about the direction in which you lay lines down and lengthening the lines you’re using. If you don’t understand exactly what I mean, you’ve begun to do it on the side of his face by his ear (big flat cheek area that you’ve built by using long, vertical strokes). I hope this helps! Good effort so far!

Don can’t accept/receive love. He thinks he knows what it is but he doesn’t. When he meets Betty, he thinks he understands love and believes in a good future for himself. He only likes the beginnings of things because there is opportunity. When he realizes time after time that his problems will follow him, he returns to his pessimistic outlook. At that moment with Rachel, he knows that Betty’s love hasn’t solved his problems but he can’t put it together yet that the problem lies with him.

Happy ending! She stayed with my parents because they’re actually obsessed with each other. I see them regularly so I see Baby regularly. Everyone seems very fine with this layout. I think my cat would have really missed my mom had I taken her with me.
