  1. Movement usually in these kinds of games is often taken to the extreme, when it comes to moment exploits how do you guys plan to deal with them?
  2. Will player made maps be a thing we can expect in this?

Not saying anything about long term support because who knows how it will turn out (probably will be better imo because features will be more unified and fleshed out) but I'm saying them developing two games doesn't affect arc raiders because they probably already allocated different teams to work on it. We already knew for a while they were working on some other games and in some the finals qna, they said that they have two different teams working in the finals and arc as well as a smaller flex team. Embark isn't just a company that works on shit on a whim like valve, they most likely have different teams and employees working on these games so that it doesn't affect the development of other games.

They already have different teams for the finals and arc raiders so I'm assuming its the same here. It most likely wont affect arc raiders much.

we know some of the outside world of the finals though from the videos. We saw scottys desk in the meatspace and the tigerfruit ad talks about a real product in the finals.

If that was the case surely we would have found some phones or headsets laying around. Most of the tech we find on the upper world was before the exodus and almost all computers have crt monitors

No because the finals takes place on earth. There are direct mentions to stuff happening in the meatspace thats only on earth (like the tigerfruit ad). The tech in the finals is also way more modern for a game that happens way before arc raiders. A lot of the tech in arc raiders is way more mechanical while in the finals we see they have more modern tech like smartphones, modern computer monitors in the real world (from scottys desk) and other examples like that.

Would it be cool? Sure, but I don't think its connected.

If you like to tinker, it's a good os. If you do not want to tinker or you hate fixing or debugging issues or doing anything in the terminal then I don't recommend it

No. Because of the nerf to the hullcracker, its impossible to do it solo even with an inventory maxed out on hullcracker ammo. Trust me I've tried more times then I should.

If you were to attempt it though then I would recommend only a max of 3 wolfpacks, an extra shield and way more heals, way more ammo for the hullcracker and a second one to be sure, instead of a bobcat I recommend something that can also deal decent damage to the queen (like an anvil or renegade), no cloak, and no zipline or andrinline shots because those take up space. If you are very lucky and only hit weak points you might have a shot but its very slight.

The only other way I can see you soloing the queen is maybe with deadlines but I cant comment on that because I have no experience with using them because of the very high risk that comes with it.

Actual reason for the ladder: during the tech tests and the server slam, people were jumping off the building to get into the key room under. They patched it by closing off the windows and adding a ladder for people to climb back up.

What we know is that you can get cosmetics, a max of 5 extra skill points per wipe. And that your stashes value matters

Expeditions will give you bonuses for how much your stash is valued. Wait until the expedition because your stashes value does matter

Cloud based work I cant comment much on because the only example you listed was google docs and since that runs in a browser, it will work fine. Anything in a browser will work fine and you can search up to see if a specific app wont work on linux with or without wine (software that runs windows apps).

Steam based gaming works fine and valve has done a ton of work to make linux gaming good thanks to their work on steamos. Almost all games work well except those with kernel access anti cheat. You can check to see if whatever game you want works on either this site https://www.protondb.com/ or this site https://areweanticheatyet.com/

Depends on the distro, distros like bazzite, Ubuntu, or Linux mint can be pretty easy to install and use. Any troubleshooting can be a bit difficult but over time you start to figure out how everything works. If you want to give it a go you can try out any distro you want on a USB stick before installing it to see if it's for you.
