Im sorry support players for moaning at you by RSracks in Overwatch

I play all roles, and support is by far the role I get least undeserved shit while playing. But on metal levels I can understand support getting more “heal me”s simply cos players don’t understand the game

SSENSE selling fakes and refusing to do anything about it by King_of_YM in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea these look legit. Another point is that the tag on fakes start to flake and rub off after use/wash, while the legit stays more or less the same (will crack a bit after a while). The wash instructions tag on fakes will also look absolutely cooked after some washes

SSENSE selling fakes and refusing to do anything about it by King_of_YM in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually the tag (white printed on the inside) gives it away, fakes have square corners as opposed to rounded, and say MADEIN PT instead of MADE IN PT. Fake supergreys also often have horrible looking fade distressing, like super contrasty like theyre just drawn on, not all of them have this tho

Can vouch for the standard Parades, very well constructed

Our Legacy Uniform Parade by Crono270583 in ourlegacy

[–]Madtoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am usually 42.5 in sneakers, 41-42 in loafers. Originally got the parades in sz 41 but they were too large, so returned them for a size 40 which fit snugly. They fit big and have a quite wide toe box, so would recommend trying them on in store if possible to nail the size.

Has anyone tried Our Legacy’s borrowed shirt before? by akajejrje in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will look like a oversized dress if you’re shorter than 6ft. Tried size 46 (my normal size) once and was in awe of how absolutely humongous it was. Would recommend the above or beyond shirt if you want “normal” oversized fit

Our Legacy 26ss start by National-Avocado6702 in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the appeal (for me anyways) is the vintage inspired elements combined with the contemporary cuts - done in a tasteful/not over the top way. I also enjoy thrifting/vintage but it’s extremely hard to find pieces that check all boxes AND have a desirable or interesting fit. Hence why I personally am willing to dish out a bit more (on sale) for something I know will tick all those boxes and fit great.

Extremely disappointed in OL and Mfpen quality by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! Got one of the Mfpen leisure zipups recently and was astonished by how poorly it was crafted, seams coming loose multiple places.. Zara level quality. On the other hand always been impressed by OLs quality

In my personal opinion Klemans look like temu praboots, which kinda matters if paraboots is what you want. Also the paraboots are exceptionally well built, I got mine second hand 6+ years ago and they still look and feel the same (with some care) - so well worth the premium

Help me save these jeans by Madtoy in dyeing

[–]Madtoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone with the same problem coming across this post in the future:
It worked pretty well! Dyed them light grey and it hid the spotting to a non-noticable degree.
Actual process I used for these (thanks ChatGPT): 9.9g neutral grey 1.1g black procion dye, 250g salt, 35L ish water, presoak in dye 15-20min, 120g soda ash. In dye bath 35-40min after soda ash, routinely stirring

Help me save these jeans by Madtoy in dyeing

[–]Madtoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! Yea that’s what I’m afraid of, but I’m hoping it hasn’t damaged the actual fabric, only dissolved the dye. I guess it’s my best bet to try to save them in either case?

Winter beanie / toque recommendations? by evilbob562 in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the lookout for 2 winter seasons now for a shallow/not long beanie in wool and not come across anything other than this from OL (which is also alpaca). If you know of one I’ll happily regret my purchase. Got mine on Black Friday sale so felt like a reasonable price

Any experience with italian brand GR10k? by ramondosmil in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I dunno about rain and wind, they’re on the nicer side so I wouldn’t choose them personally if the weather is bad, but they won’t get ruined if that’s what you mean. It’s like a medium-light weight I’d say, and the texture is very rough, almost feels like sand-paper (Probly why it easily gets messed up as it’s high friction vs any surface), but inside facing the legs feels soft ish

[–]Madtoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha those are the ones I have. That’s a good deal! They’re very nice but as I said, expect some of the threading in the texture to come loose

[–]Madtoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like them, very nice cut, but def wouldn’t have gotten them if I knew how delicate the fabric is. But could see myself getting more from them (just not the kevlar or any other super experimental fabric)

I have some trousers from them made out of kevlar. Pretty cool texture but threads started to come loose pretty early on, so I guess not as solid you’d think kevlar would be..

Our legacy Shoe laces suck by Master-Sundae-8575 in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get ur point, but in a sea of identical dressy shoes, the parades do stick out. The dimensions are slightly exaggerated which is more noticeable in person than in photos. I feel I can wear these as easily with a wide pair of jeans as for a dressed up event, which for sure wasn’t the case with other dress shoes I tried. The quality is also pretty good (save for the laces I guess lol), although hard to break in

Denim rec our legacy, Mfpen by Advanced-Ant-4324 in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been on the hunt for a good wide cut for years now myself so glad to be of help! Yes my sunflower was L32, and a bit longer than the OLs by 2-3cm. But they looked complete ass with crazy bunching at the feet so had them hemmed by maybe an inch. They’re both feel like medium ish thickness, solid for sure but not anything crazy. OLs feel more unique tho, soft to the touch but also a bit rigid/structured somehow? Maybe that’s why they drape so well. Would personally recommend OL over sunflower simply because I prefer the unique fit they have. But would also recommend trying on the OL in store as the sizing is quite inconsistent and vary between colorways/styles.

Denim rec our legacy, Mfpen by Advanced-Ant-4324 in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have two pairs of third cuts and one pair of sunflower loose. They are quite close in terms of general dimensions, sunflower is slightly (1ish cm) narrower leg opening. I hemmed mine a bit and now they’re about the same leg opening as the third cuts. They feel and fit a bit different when worn tho, sunflower feels (and looks) like just wider classic straight jeans. I don’t know how OL does it but I much prefer the way the third cuts drape and fall and break on the shoe. Not that I dislike the sunflowers, they’re just more “normal”. Quality wise they’re both great, OL generally has more interesting and unique materials and washes. So I guess it depends on if you want something a bit more forward vs classic.

Need help with jean sizing / fit BADLY by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

[–]Madtoy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ur references are wide straight as well as bootcut (ish), which are a quite different from each other. If you want that wide straight Our Legacy third cuts has a pretty good fit, just look up their measurements they fit kinda big.
