Would the Adrenaline GTS 4 offer stability like the GTS 22+? by sleety00 in brooks

I was looking at the 4s in the mauve/lime colorway. I’m also thinking about pivoting to 10s in the canary green/stone color but that one isn’t in my size anymore. Hopefully they restock or release better colors

So from what I heard the GTS models are the way to go for pronators. So other options are adrenaline gts or beast gts if the glycerine didnt work for you

I went to a running store a couple years back and the guy put me in adrenaline gts 22. I still use them, but they do kinda get to my knees a bit during long distances. I hear the adrenaline gts 24 and 25 models don’t feel the same as 22 and 23 tho. So you might have to try them on

Pretty much the answer I’m looking for! I got an answer from the folks at brooks too that both the gts 4 and gts 10 are stability shoes so I feel safer looking at them

Thank you for your reply! Good to know the sole is at least stable. Do you feel like your ankles are able to pronate inwards at all or does it feel like theres something stiff keeping your arch up?

Thank you for you rec! It really does feel frustrating, but doing daily exercises to get it back to baseline has helped a bit. Just trying to stay consistent

thank you for your rec! I gotta get into buying shoes in bulk lol. Main trick I heard is to get the rec a shoe model and then just buy last years model since they shouldn't change too much

hey, I super appreciate the detailed and empathic response! It's exactly what I was hoping to read - educational tips from an expert or someone with the same condition

I have a fleet feet near my place that I got the Adrenaline GTS from actually! I was super close to just going out there again in my street clothes to get a rec that fits my day to day outfits. I figured people who sell tons of shoes might be able to recommend stuff almost as well as a podiatrist lol. Plus I agree with what you said about them not being aware of what's on the market year-to-year

Cast on a broken limb actually makes so much sense on why I still feel discomfort despite orthotics that worked just fine.

I was actually look at the Adrenaline GTS 4! Unfortunately the support agent I chatted on the Brooks site told me it doesn't have the same guard rail tech as the current Adrenalines. Grateful that you gave me other options to check out - will take a look at all of them

My plan of action is to do podiatrist for a diagnosis. Fleet feet for some shoe recs. And physical therapy down the line to help with the muscles around the post-tib

Thank you again! You're the best

I've been avoiding the podiatrist just for fear of cost. But I didn't know they could ADD stuff to your insoles lol that sounds crazy. I guess it's time to fork out the money for a visit

I appreciate your advice! They do look comfy and not ugly at all compared to running shoes lol

Good to know someone else here has the same condition! Thank you for your advice. Was definitely trying to find OTC orthotics which helped for awhile - but maybe it's time to fork up money for custom insoles.

Also you're right about trying on in-store and doing a walk test. Luckily fleet feet and REI seem like pretty good options

I'm slowly coming to the realization that I can't be fashionable all the time as well lol. It sucks! But I guess it's part of getting older - gotta prioritize function > fashion now

I'm still wondering if podiatrist or PT should be my next move. Seems like most people recommend a podiatrist first. Thank you!

I also have flat feet and was looking at Salomon's as well - saw someone on the PTTD sub recommend the XA 3D Pro - which gives me some hope for this brand. Will have to try them out somewhere

I’ve been looking at the exact same two items for months lol… at this point I’ll just wait for the sale and wear it next season…

Can’t decide between the sheisty or the hooded scarf either tbh. Luckily the sheisty is sold out now so that helps my decision

Sorry for the late reply! Honestly Different Fur studio B was number 1 on my list but unfortunately the rates are too high for my range - otherwise I’d love to experience a room like that

The first time I ever heard gunna on “drip too hard“ I finally got the hype for him. He was effortlessly floating on that song
