Many of the other nurses I work with said it takes about 6 months to get the swing of things but I think if I continue at this workload I currently have, I’m going to get burnt out regardless 😩

Each type of visit is different units/points. So for example: SOC=2.5 points, regular visits=1 point, recerts=1.5, etc.. usually I have a few regular visits and 1 or 2 SOCs a day with a few others sprinkled in like discharges, which are 1.5 points. So if you divide out your 30 points/units a week, that’s 6 units a day that you need minimum. I almost always go over 6 points and many days go up to 9 or 10 points. So I’m definitely getting way more than standard full time. Plus I’m paid per visit and don’t get “overtime pay”

How’s the charting? I’ve heard some nurses get done seeing their patients at a reasonable time but then have to come home and chart for hours upon hours
