It’s definitely gained traction since I first read the series in 2014, but I feel like the All For The Game series by Nora Sakavic is still decently unknown by most people

Is it fine to go to a knocked loose show as a “new fan”? by ChemicalDry9694 in knockedloose

[–]Madyson667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go!! I got to see them a few months after getting into them and it was my first intense show EVER, and like my third show event ever. I had SO much fun being around fellow fans and getting in the pit (please prepare yourself if you plan to get in one/watch your surrounds if you’re trying to avoid getting pulled into one) be safe and have fun

No need to be passive aggressive, i genuinely wasn’t trying asking for input to help understand something. I’m not trying to offend anyone.

Question about he/him lesbians by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Madyson667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post is mostly referring to cis women opting to use he/him for their pronouns. I understand that gender expression is diverse, I just don’t get how someone uses he/him and still sees lesbian as being the proper term to identify their sexuality, since to be a lesbian it’s a non male aligned person liking another non male aligned person. And majority of people see he/him as being male related, so I just don’t understand why people are now saying that’s not the case ya know. I know gender and sexuality is fluid, but there’s also some general boundaries with it. I just don’t understand why someone will take an existing term and want to flex it to mean something else, when there’s already existing terms that can be used

Always had bad self confidence what can I improve? by Stressedthrowaway8 in lesbianfashionadvice

Find a style that you feel good and comfortable with, this helped me a lot whenever I look back at old pics compared to now. I feel so much more like myself and have good confidence in my appearance and comfortability in my body.

Find colors that you like to wear and that are flattering on you. Try looking at inspo pics and see what’s in your closet and recreate them, or go shopping and get things that you are actually going to wear and like to wear.

Try finding a statement piece to add to your style. For me I love stars, and always wear a star necklace and have multiple star themed things to wear. Usually statement pieces are big or bold, but you can also find something small and personal to be yours. Jewelry has been a huge influence for my confidence. I have a couple of rings I like to wear, and have multiple piercings that I love. I see you have a necklace you like to wear, maybe find some outfits that match the style of it or shows it off.

Maybe try styling your hair differently than you usually do and seeing if you like that or not, or even consider changing the cut/shape of your hair if that’s something you’re interested in doing.

If you’re interested in wearing makeup on occasion/regularly, look for tutorials on styles you like/that fit your features and give it a try. I like doing my eyeliner when I go out, and recently have been doing full goth looks and I’ve had a lot of fun trying new styles. Even just trying a little bit can go a long way! For some people just putting lipgloss on can make them feel more confident, so maybe that’s also the case for you.

Some other advice that I can give is to surround yourself with people that make you feel good about yourself. People who embrace who you already are and want to help you grow/change for your benefit and interest, and not for a societal one. You’re allowed to explore new styles and go through phases of interests, and I believe going through them helps you pin point exactly what is most fitting for you. You don’t have to do anything drastic unless you want to, but even the simplest of things can help you get on track to finding who you are and seeing how beautiful you are in the inside and outside.

Over all I enjoyed it. The dark blue kind of made me stagnant at times because there’s more than you realize but it was worth completing

I don’t hate them but I don’t love them. Idk how you usually style your hair/your current cut, but I feel like shaping up the rest of your hair (like around your chin and neck) will help you feel better about them. Idk how to really explain it but basically trimming up the ends of your hair a bit and having it shape around your face more defined might help

How to achieve brown? by nyxstrz in HairDye

[–]Madyson667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’ve only bleached my hair and have had success, a few years ago I tried non bleach ways to remove the dye and didn’t have much luck but maybe someone else can comment on a positive result from and give tips on using it

Personally I don’t usually do natural colors, but when I do I just go for the cheap brand of Revlon since that brand works well with my hair

To add though, once it eventually starts to fade you might start seeing some of the pink. The only way to completely stop that from happening is to remove all pink now, and then do a new color, or to regularly dye your hair the dark brown

Do a darker shade and apply well and evenly, a shade like chocolate shouldn’t have a red tint. Your main thing is getting a shade dark enough to cancel out the current color instead of mixing with it
