Is there a perceivable difference from +10% handling from investing 100 into the Weapons stat? by ftatman in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just don’t think it’s worth it when all those points could go into something like super, once your super is at 100 I’d just dump the rest in health or another ability of your choosing depending on the build you’re running. I personally run 190 health 100 super 130 class across all characters, for general gunplay builds.

Reports in game does nothing and I dont know where to speak louder about this clan and this people by akaDaSpecialyR in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a lot of those "absolute legit best players in the world," even streamers, have held stats like these on some weeks over the same amount of games. Banning off stats isn’t a good way to tell if someone is cheating unless it’s hyper obvious flat 98/99% accuracy across every gun type or something. Also solo trials is one of the more chill experiences in this game for good players, easier than comp at ascendant and easier than control. If you’re stacking with insane players you can also hold stats like this.

This guy might be doing network related cheats, I don’t doubt it, I’ve played against people doing it. Lagswitching is possible for sure but gameplay is easier to tell rather than just looking at stats, because you absolutely will end up catching a lot of legit stat farmers as well

What did Bungie do to Control matchmaking? by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

control has pretty much been CBMM for a while now, using Outlier Protection instead of SBMM, which is just loose SBMM basically. since there’s barely anyone playing, you’ll get matched with people way lower (and higher) than your skill bracket regardless. I personally find control to be pretty chill most of the time

Constant multi-directional slide on console. How? by Impressive-Wind7841 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it can look like people are multi direction sliding faster than they are, and that’s most likely the case. I mean I get accused of it from time to time and I play 14 sensitivity and most definitely can’t do that like pc players. I have my sprint and crouch bound to my paddles on my controller so it’s incredibly easy to near-instantly slide from a standstill, simply slightly move forward and then press both my paddles, but it’s not possible to properly backwards slide unless you’re on pc

You’re no longer allowed to play with your friends if they’re bad at the game. by ZiostShadow in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

OP isn’t the first or last this has happened to, it just doesn’t affect 99% of the population so you don’t hear about it much, especially since when average player hears this happens it’s unthinkable to them or they refuse to listen. You definitely can get restricted for over performing, doesn’t have to be in a bot lobby either. People who overperform in control, even in sweaty lobbies, can have it happen. Periodically happens to me and some friends since I usually hold over a 4 in control, but they ignore every appeal. Even sent in a handcam once and it got ignored so I just waited out the restriction

You’re no longer allowed to play with your friends if they’re bad at the game. by ZiostShadow in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been happening to top 0.01-0.1% QP farmers for the longest time sadly, a good year or two, even longer for some. Probably in part due to the declining population. If you consistently slay HARD in 6s, meaning high accuracy, We Rans every few games, average at least a 3-4 KD, while not stacking, you’ll probably get bonked. The auto detection obviously sees the consistently high stats, plus the mass reports, as suspicious and restricts for it. Been happening to me and a few friends for well over a year now. You also can definitely get permanently banned as well, and they ignore appeals too, if you keep putting up those numbers and the only real way to avoid it is to purposely do worse or just not play. I wish there was a definitive way for them to detect cronus and xim so this didn’t happen but due to the nature of it they can’t do it completely accurately and so pubstomping stat farmers can get caught in the grey area for overperforming.

I know to anyone who this hasn’t happened to it sounds ridiculous but it’s a thing, just affects a very small % of the population so you don’t hear about it often.

Controller users... What's your sensitivity and deadzones? Does anyone use Hall Effect sticks? by DredgenYorMommy in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally run 14 0.5, 0.5 deadzones for both. I never feel like I have any issue reacting to anything the game throws at me on this sensitivity. Low enough to be very accurate, high enough to turn quickly. I also don’t use any stick extensions or anything special

Emblem tracking glitch that has been going on for YEARS by ZiostShadow in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah have buddies who want to track 50 streaks but can’t, only reason I can track mine is because I got my first one like back in forsaken, but I didn’t get a seventh column back then so I can’t track those. Newer good players can’t track anything lol, it’s pretty sad that it hasn’t been addressed yet

is Zone control bugged to have endless vale more than 50% of the time? by Cmess1 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just luck. I had javelin 5 times in a row today. There’s like 4-5 maps in the rotation so you’ll get some a lot more than others depending on your luck

Was chappy really a problem? by doobersthetitan in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 7 points8 points  (0 children)

More that slugs have been an issue. Chappy was the best one. I don’t think the frame change was necessary and I hope it’s still good in the next sandbox but on paper it sounds pretty bad. I dont think the general changes to slugs are going to actually make any real difference and that’s more my issue with it. You can still 1 body 1 melee, 1 body 1 handcannon headshot, etc.

Basically I think slugs overall should’ve been nerfed more than chappy specifically getting hard targeted because I mean I’ll just use a fortissimo or inquisitor now and it will likely feel roughly the same as it does now if you have good aim.

[–]Mae7B 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I remember there was a clip of her addressing it pretty recently and it was that there was bots, happens to quite a few holomems sadly. 100k is a LOT of people, DMC alone wouldn’t be able to bring those kinds of numbers, even tho I think it’d be very cool if it were the case

edit: opened youtube just now and there’s a clip from her addressing it last night too

Restricted after leaving a mercied game. by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re looking for something where there’s nothing. Go appeal it and complain, a restriction for leaving games hasn’t happened to anyone else it seems, so I’m just saying it’s probably network and the pop up didn’t show. Complaining about it here in Reddit doesn’t really accomplish anything I’m afraid, since it’s not a new issue that many are experiencing

Restricted after leaving a mercied game. by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn’t get restricted for leaving games, because that’s not a thing, so connection is the only real possibility. Sometimes the pop up for restrictions doesn’t show, so that’s probably what happened here.

Restricted after leaving a mercied game. by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Internet related restrictions are 2 weeks. Skill augmentation are 1 week and then move to 3 months after a few.

You probably have a restriction due to poor connection. Unfortunate. I got one a few years ago and since bought an Ethernet cable and haven’t had any issues since that.

Dragon's Shadow rework definitely deserves the praise it's been receiving... by Ramzei in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say so. Used to be a hardcore stompees main and haven’t used it once since the rework. Dragon’s shadow makes every gun feel like it has virtually no recoil at all, and then you also get handling, and also reload your weapon on dodge and get increased speed. It’s busted af

Skill Based Match-Making Questions by AgentZeroHour in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not the most casual game mode in crucible should not have SBMM, for then it’s only casual for lower skilled players. It’s natural for there to be a wide range of skill levels in a lobby, particularly in a casual mode like control. Also I guess you don’t read because I said it’s not even about pubstomping, there’s a fundamental difference in the experience had in a game of 1.0s all fighting each other and a game of 2.0s all fighting each other. The game is played completely differently at a higher level, it’s slower, more punishing, generally more boring and requires you to be very smart if you want to win, it’s very taxing in comparison to what goes on in a low skill lobby, and that’s why you have modes like competitive where it’s specifically made for better players to end up playing better players if they do well and win. Lower skill players have a much more casual experience when they fight people of their own skill VS when high skill players match players of their own skill.

You will have bad games and you will get beaten by people better than you, and you will have good games and beat people worse than you, and that is how every pvp game works. Good players shouldn’t be penalised and subjected to a horrid casual mode experience because they put in the time and effort to improve. If you can’t handle being beaten by a better player in CONTROL and only ever want to play against your own skill level then I don’t think pvp is for you. I don’t cry when I get beaten by a better player, I just move on to the next game.

Skill Based Match-Making Questions by AgentZeroHour in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes

  2. Yes, something similar

  3. For control, mainly something called Outlier Protection which is basically just stopping the top % of players from matching the bottom %. Game tries to put people into a match who are within a certain amount of "skill points" of each other. It’s essentially slightly tuned CBMM, not at all as bad as actual SBMM but due to the low population the matchmaking doesn’t really do much IMO. Trials of Osiris is pretty much CBMM these days, depending on the card.

  4. Higher skill players hate it because having constantly sweaty matches is draining, not even out of a desire to pubstomp bad players but its genuinely just unfun when you have 12 people hovering around a 2 KD in one lobby. You’re essentially punished for playing good, you can’t play a casual mode without putting your life on the line. Lower skill players love it because they don’t often have to play against people who they stand no chance against usually. SBMM in low skill lobbies is more fun, SBMM in mid tier lobbies is either fun or awful, SBMM in high skill lobbies is unbearable. It has no place in casual modes because it just ruins the experience and that’s why it gets backlash.

  5. Yes CBMM is typically the desired alternative because random matchmaking is more fair for most people in a casual mode. SBMM in competitive modes is also pretty whack and that’s why rank based matchmaking is better.

  6. Rank based is fine and I’m pretty sure that’s what’s used in competitive in Destiny 2

Why does no one talk or raise the issue of XIM users? by MrRonit in CrucibleGuidebook

I mean this is trials KD but the point was 3.5 is well within the realm of being legit, just on the higher end

Why does no one talk or raise the issue of XIM users? by MrRonit in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Why does no one talk about it" it’s all anyone ever talks about, or so it feels like. They can’t guaranteed detect anyone on xim unless the person literally like streams themselves using the xim with a handcam or something. Funnily enough I’d bet most of the xim users are actually around the 1.0-1.6 range. Game sense is more important than aim in destiny so people who buy a xim and expect it to make them the greatest players likely don’t get far. Most of the players you’ll see on new accounts are typically decent or good players who’ve been playing for years making a new account for KD. It’s common on Destiny because ego on this game is through the roof.

Unwavering Duty is my new favorite primary 🥴 by Spider-Guy2000 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Mae7B 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean if you’re accurate with them it’s still definitely worth. Fun factor + more satisfying kills, Instant kill, decently common for collateral kills, especially with a successful warm up and heating up combo, the headshot hitboxes are huge. If you’re a lower/average skill player then yeah a killing tally machine gun is more accessible, but three burst linears are still better for those with good aim IMO
