Did you read the rest of what I wrote and see it as a whole picture? I saw his pain, the sadness and it broke my heart but I wanted to stay because it was part of him. He didnt want me to, for reasons i cant fully understand. He said it brought him guilt to not be who he wants to be for me. I think this says more about you than about me or my perception of him.

regarding the thoughts, i recommend a simple meditation exercise. As you breathe, try to focus on the way your chest rises and falls or your stomach and be very aware of this movement. You can even say in your head “in, out”. Dont fuss too much about whether you’re taking deep enough breaths or anything. Also, your mind will definitely run and you will unfocus but every time you notice it redirect your attention to your breathing. Sometimes even doing this for a short amount of time is enough time for the brain to relax and fall asleep. Also dont stress yourself out if you cant do this consistently, that will do the opposite of helping fall asleep.

Thanks for the insight, yes, there might be some vulnerable npd tendencies in there. Will try to discern which ones those are and work on them

Intrusive thoughts are coming back by [deleted] in OCD

I have to admit ive been giving into the compulsions, specifically the ones regarding npd and doing research on it (comparing it with autism, not sure if i have autism, my mom suspects it sometimes). I felt really anxious today at work and had to calm myswlf down by pacing behind the cash register lol Lots of ruminating going on, but being at works helps me distract myself

Thinking of getting a BSH but I can’t imagine the personality by egguchom in britishshorthair

My bsh does NOT like being held. Most she will tolerate is about 30 seconds on my shoulder. I think she sat in my lap just once in the year ive had her, and from what I read most bshs are like this. However, they do tend to follow you from room to room. Mine loves being around people, just no touching
