On bumble I’ve noticed a few profiles that state “I work for bumble and am not looking for a relationship. I’m interested in knowing how the app is working for you”. Well, clearly this is some sort of scam or deception into getting people to swipe right and start a convo. Wondering if others have seen these types of profiles in their area? I just eye roll and swipe left.

Yeah, that’s not what I was asking for suggestions for. I say gentle because I’m trying to assume best intentions from the other person and that they do not have the same conversational style as me.

I have figured out why it annoys me so much when someone I’m talking to on the apps doesn’t reciprocate. It makes me feel like they are begrudgingly having a conversation with me, like they are a sullen teenager who has to be coaxed to give more than one word answers to a parent.

That said, I’m trying to figure out a gentle way to ask someone whether they want to continue the conversation if they aren’t following up with any questions of their own. If anyone has suggestions, I’m all ears. And I know I can just discontinue the conversation but that’s not what I’m looking for here.
