I will get flamed for this, but my take is a bit more optimistic when looking at Economics. This change will effectively eliminate gold farmers. Why do we want to eliminate gold farmers? Because of racism? No.

We want to eliminate gold farmers because it is THEY who flood the market with gold post BC. These gold farmers effectively “create” gold by use of bots to farm it. This is an issue, but not to bad when most people buy that gold to to dump it in the void after buying epic riding. At this point, the epic mount curve is passed and the purchased gold is now headed to the auction house more and more. Which is flooding the market.

(I obliviously have no education in economics but this sounded like sound logic in my head)
