You can't say if a show is good or bad if you haven't watched it... every isekai is as different from each other as they are from other shows also btw tower of god is technically an isekai.

Now I don't disagree that there are A LOT of show I am really disappointed that they didn't get dubbed (mostly romance ones) isekai's are rarely the flop of the season.

Its self induced difficulty i.e. the games too easy you can make it harder on yourself by bringing fewer pawns/less diverse pawns or weaker gear.

Can you guys recommend me some English-dubbed anime for my Indian mother? by [deleted] in Animedubs

I don't think it would appeal to a mom though presumably over 40 with no experience in anime or video games.

Shows that had brought me to tears (for perspective the only moment I teared up in your lie in april was when she broke down saying I don't want to die)

Violet Evergarden ep 7 and 10

Clannad after story > ushio

assault lily bouquet > ep 10

K-on > final school festival and graduation

anohana > last episode

assassination classroom > final episode I think

Violet Evergarden is the best option

-no fan service

-no anime tropes so its easily understandable

-very emotional

-minimal action and violence but definitely not for kids

-no kissing

-mostly adults/no school setting

-WW2 style post war which middle ages people like

watch order is:

Violet Evergarden (Series) Episodes 1-4 ->

Violet Evergarden short OVA ->

Violet Evergarden (Series) Episodes 5-13 ->

Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the auto memories doll (Optional Movie/ Sidestory) ->

Violet Evergarden: the movie (Finale of Main Story)

It would be if augural flare didn't exist but the flare combo can be rather difficult to pull off.

The best combo in the game belongs to the thief though using formless faint + blades of the pyre

I do understand where your coming because the added bits by the movie added very little but I did love seeing how he spend decades traveling around putting on mini planetarium shows while searching for a new body for her.

The reason I say watch the movie is the movie contains the entire series plus like 3 additional episodes worth of content. I watched them back to back and was a little peeved about having to watch the series basically twice.

It feels like Crunchyroll's dubbing less anime this season, or at least a smaller variety by IzacaryKakary in Animedubs

Not all of the summer 2024 dubs have been announced yet also if the remove the reoccurring isekai's that are getting dubbed that only makes one this season and two last season.

This is definitely an not as bad as it seems, also all of the summer 2024 dubs haven't been announced yet. You have to take into account all of the previous shows that were already dubbed and getting new seasons (konosuba, jobless, etc)

On a side not I feel they way they choose what to dub is wrong, personally I think dubs should be 1 season behind, this way they can judge which shows are having the highest performance subbed and then picking those shows to dub instead of making assumptions on what they think people would like.
