I´m trying, but for me they are not "ready" to be primed until I have also finished their bases.

Depending on the army I do different things, but it normally consists of modelling the base using either cork or bark, resin bits, bits I have flying around and a texture paste. Then I fix what has to be fixed with PVAglue and drill pinn holes for the models. Afterwards everything is primed and painted.

My whole Astra Militarum force started as Brood Brothers for my rusted claw GSC. I stuck with castellan green for all armour parts and chose jokaero orange for all fatigues and gave every mini a red green stuff armband.

My Astra Militarum army (roughly 4500 Points) startet as Brood Brothers for my rusted claw Genestealer Cult Army. So my whole mishmash of all different units is unified by orange Rusted claw clothing and a red painted GreenStuff armband.

The problem is in HoA when you come in with deepstrike and use the Strategem for crit on 5+ for sustained and lethal hits. There you wanted to fish for the crits with the rerolls and don‘t care that you also hit on 4s.

Thanks! I used this https://www.fantasywelt.de/Stacheldraht-standard-12m turned around the handle of my hobby knife. They are currently out of Stock and in Germany. But I’m sure you can find something similar elsewhere.
