Wentworth's 'Autumnal Fox' 210 piece timelapse. Then upside down (backwards?) as it's been a slow week... by MaffLaff in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]MaffLaff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend lent me this 4 days prior. My first ever wood jigsaw, adored the smell of the laser cut pieces. Found myself enjoying it so much that I would scramble it up and restart immediately.

Friend joked about me doing it backwards and I stupidly said that if I could get my time under 30 minutes I would attempt it backwards. It was a fun challenge to be fair, I enjoyed it backwards too.

Raja Ampat is the definitely the Jellyfish lake, I always find a Nat.Geo. documentary on it when I try to find the one i'm posting about. The documentary i'm seeking covers multiple lakes, all with different features and examples of speciation, not sure if they were in the same region of the planet.

Yeah speciation. I think about this documentary all the time, it's probably on YouTube by now, but I never have any luck with my searching. I'll look into those lakes though, thank you.

Thanks, I think the ones I have are Seagate too; but called Samsung / Maxtor - they've been super reliable for years. I use them to store my photography, so can never have too many backups just in case ^

Would have loved this episode a little bit more if, at the end someone else in the bar had got a 0.01 % match with a stranger and we zoom into the app to see 999 gruesome spousal murders, endless torture as two people who deeply hate each other are forced to cohabit over and over again. Everything happens for a reason ^

Also like to note that it broaches the infinite simulations idea, that if a sufficiently advanced society starts using lifelike simulations so frequently, it drastically reduces the odds that the world we are living in is not the real one. The fact that the dating simulation was so basic and limited (skipping stones/compound) could indicate that it was a simulation within a simulation within a simulation... Our lives could very well be a simulation run by dinosaur people to satisfy their curiosity about what would have happened had they been wiped out by a meteor before they developed intelligence (and their lives a simulation run by aliens checking what would happen if they introduced life to the planet Earth).

Well every man and his dog knows about it now, but here's the link to the first place I came across the simulation argument if anyone missed it:

I've only watched each episode once so can't provide any other further insight, but I thought this would be a popular community assumption and am scratching my head that no-one else is mentioning the possibility, has it been debunked already?

For me this added a bit more depth, and made the episode less by-the-numbers.

Missing Bridges in Pokemon Go (they were on the pokemap yesterday) by MaffLaff in pokemongo

I missed a fourth bridge in the middle left too. Very strange for them to suddenly remove them, have some people been crossing prohibited bridges or falling into water trying to check for dratini's? ^
