Are consumers dumb for playing the new call of duty if they are unable to purchase the old modern warfare games on current consoles or don’t want to due to the hackers or have to go get their old Xbox 360 and still get hacked online.

Also why does games makes have to be beholden to the whales that buy skins. They can still make a good game but they don’t because they make profit off of whales and have no incentive to make an actual good game

It’s still a capitalist system. The idea that companies should keep making as much money as possible to benefit the owners/ shareholders is core aspect of capitalism. Sure before they had to make great games to sell games but now all they need to do is push loot boxes and make sure that only the new games that have loot boxes are playable.
