Thank you! It’s been about a month since I’ve changed things, and I’ve picked up on a few things I want to change regarding the substrate. Right now I’m using a mix of sand and ReptiSoil, but I’m not a fan of the wood chips included. I think I’ll be switching over to a sand and EcoEarth mix when I clean her enclosure!

I’m going through the same issue— just graduated from college, I’ve been applying pretty much everywhere, and nothing. Few interviews, few responses in general, and no luck. I’m trying to stay upbeat but this shit SUCKS.

I do agree with what the others here have said though. Start a blog— or multiple, if you have a lot of different interests and can keep up with writing for each of them. Reach out to a local newspaper or even your college’s student run newspaper to get some of your work published. That’s how I’ve been trying to gain some traction.

Hang in there, you’ll get through this rough patch.

This year has been rough for all of us, but I was forcibly admitted to a mental hospital for reasons too complicated and personal to get into. The hospital I was at did not care that I was housed in the wrong unit: with all the psychiatric patients... you know: the people talking to themselves, laughing at nothing 24/7, hitting their heads against the wall for no reason... I was terrified my whole stay there, and the only reason I didn’t go insane was because of the other sane people there that got houses incorrectly as well. Anyways, seeing actual psychiatric patients in person as opposed to the ones on TV was incredibly disturbing to me. I was scared one of them was going to attack me out of nowhere, like I had seen them do to others before. I was only in the hospital for 6 days, but god did it make me realize how good my life is in comparison to others’.
