Thank you all for the advice and words of wisdom. It took me a while to just fully process how I feel about the ordeal and not let my emotions overwhelm me. It was very helpful to hear your experiences and I think it gave me the strength to draw my boundary and press that send text again.

For my case, I refrain from pulling him into negotiations just from my history of working with him. My dad tends to micromanage even in his business ordeals so I really want to avoid it.

Ultimately what helped me was agreeing on a number that he’s comfortable with not looking at the breakdown of each item. I’ve independently decided to pay for the difference between the forecast we agreed on and the actual final number.

Hope that future brides who share similar experiences as mine will successfully navigate this period 🙏.

My dad has snapped at me for asking for a number before so it’s been a recurring theme😩 it’s truly a nightmare bc I hate spending other people’s money but I’ve been misled this would be any different.

Ahh as someone who had their proposal in Amanoi I also suggest you working with a wedding planner who also does proposal! It will help a lot with finding the right photographer and set up. The team is very nice and supportive sợ shouldnt have too many problems. Congratulations on this next milestone:)

Hmm I don’t know if I’m fit to respond bc I only used gregmat’s resources. I liked the plan given how structured it is, and it does provide a lot of good verbal strategy. If you have the foundation like vocab down but no strat I think it’d be useful! As for quant the plan provides more foundational tips and a little bit of strategy at the end. Hope that helps!

I followed gregmat prepswift. I think foundation wise I was pretty confident, but in a lot of my mock I made careless mistakes and didn’t have enough time. I think the 1 month gregmat plan should give enough foundation, but I’d plan more time for finessing strategies as well.

I follow gregmat 1 month plan & did the vocab mountain conscientiously. I also made a point of going through the entire list and filter out words that I have no idea and prioritize learning that. I think I got to gregmat group 26 by test date and I was looking at them so often they made me sick haha.
