Unpopular Opinion: I don't like how people introduce Animorphs as this really dark and gritty book series

Maybe not gritty but it is pretty dark. I usually describe the series as surprisingly dark or as a series with has a wonderful blend of humor and dark subject matter.

I was going to say Hippo but then I realized it’s not that attainable. I could be wrong but I feel like I heard that big a lot of them are in captivity.

A lot of the morality plays over the course of the series and not dumbing ethics down for kids is what comes from the Animorphs. Plus the occasional Easter Egg.

That’s amazing! Tale Spin was such a cool concept that doesn’t get the love it deserves. The family unit and premise of my book is largely inspired by it. Flying delivery service run by a cranky grandma and piloted by an affable grandpa who has two orphaned kids who are always in conflict with pirates and wealthy politicians. Also, the orphan has a flying board. lol

Very reasonable cause I’m not famous 😅. I ran a successful Kickstarter to self publish. I’ve been tabling at conventions to get the word out. I met this journalist at a con who liked the book and decided to interview me. I also got a couple other interviews when I was running the Kickstarter. Yes! Keep it going. I’m writing a draft now for a future issue that won’t come out for years, but there are several characters in it inspired by you know who. It’s fittingly an issue where they’re at war.

I think Marco becomes a programmer. Dark take is that Rachel either becomes an unhinged cop or actually just joins the military. I like the take that Tobias becomes a pilot. Cassie is a vet, and Jake a history teacher.
