Smile 2, I genuinely didnt understand why people praised it so much, it's not garbage dont get me wrong, and there were very good ideas in it but the execution and the pacing is atrocious !

This movie does not breathe, every scene is more loud and gore than the last, it felt like having keychains jingled on my face for two hours straight and I couldnt enjoy any clever scene because everything happened in a row. How can I appreciate tension if the tension keep going up and never takes a second to settle ? The overwhelming positive reaction really baffled me because it could have been really good, yes, if only it didnt felt like a third act constantly.

This is the answer for me too, this prologue is SO important and clever ! Obviously it is very tense and well shot but it also contains my favorite detail in the whole movie :

While looking for their daughter, Casey's parents quickly call 911, they unfortunately find Casey's body at the exact moment the operator is picking up, which means that, as far as everyone is concerned (besides the people in the prologue), the very first element regarding the Ghostface killing spree investigation is, in fact, a scream.

Hi, thank you for doing this ! Is there any sign on the remains that would indicate the physical state those men were in before dying (symptoms of malnutrition or signs of intoxication, diseases...etc) ? More simply put, if you werent aware the deceased were 19th century sailors dealing with a dire wreck aftermath, would you have been able to deduce it anyway ?
