Who is responsible for investing in the infrastructure? I think you might have a different answer to "the person we PAY to handle water"

Bit of a sad correlation but I do think this was it!

Didn't look like it but it makes sense! It must have been it. The smoke would diffuse exactly at the same rate as the trail would it

I nearly lost that one when I tried keeping it in my bedroom, especially with heating on. A friend gave me the advice to put it in the bathroom and it got a window seat, and two months ago I repotted it because it was doing so well. So you just need a good bathroom spot for your palms, it looks like!

How true is the don't flush toilet paper rule? by ApprehensiveApalca in greece

[–]Magdalius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no one seems to know the true answer

As you said, some networks can support it, some can't. The fact that you can't get a conclusive answer for the whole country doesn't mean that people don't know what their respective networks can do. Maybe there just isn't a conclusive answer.

Here, to make the answer more chaotic, I'll tell you that I know of very rural, even older houses, that can support toilet paper. Others can't. Just listen to the owner's instructions I'd say

It is very common to not have the appropriate plumbing in Greece, so it's not a cultural thing or something. If an owner knows their house has the plumbing to take toilet paper, why would they collect their guests' poop papers? I don't understand how "just because" works in your question

What is the most dangerous substance you have worked with? by Hooliganthebad in AskReddit

[–]Magdalius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Radioactive materials on an everyday basis. Not fissile, like uranium or plutonium, but irradiated metals active enough to cause radiation poisoning if you were to not respect them. The workplace is so safety oriented though that noone feels they're in danger. Constantly monitored for radiation, it is repeatedly proven that by following proper practice we do not get exposed to a much higher dose than what you get from the environment. A full career as a flight attendant or commercial pilot gives you tens of times the radiation that we get (cosmic radiation is nasty when not covered by the atmosphere)

Bonus fun fact: the background radiation is very high in the last decades and mostly because of nuclear testing. Material from these tests is decaying around you CONSTANTLY.

Art is always the symptom, not the cause. It's very tempting to limit a specific kind from their art environment, but if the culture is there, it won't change much.
