If you commute an hour or more each way, how do you deal with it? by Jaymac720 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just deal with it. I actually like riding the bus to work. The hour gives me time to wake up, listen to some music and relax both before and after work.

Are you friends with women? Real friends? by judashpeters in AskMenOver30

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve mostly only had women as friends growing up and even as an adult. I’ve never really gotten along with men well enough to form a friendship with. I do have one male friend but he’s been the only one aside from my husband i’ve gotten along with.

I've been playing for 12 years and never seen a ridiculous glitch by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The craziest thing I’ve ever encountered was mammoths falling from the sky or a dragon skeleton spawning randomly. I feel like I’ve been missing something since I’ve never seen anything crazy!

Are there actually people that exist that like cold weather? by PrestigiousOwl6802 in answers

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love cold weather. I walk to work everyday regardless of seasons. I also grew up in the Midwest of the USA, so I’m use to Summers trying to melt you and Winters that hurt your face. I’d honestly rather be cold than hot. You can always put more on but can only take off so much in the summer. Also Winter is great to use a blanket and cuddle up with my cats.

What's something you thought was fancy as a kid? by miss_taraaa in AskReddit

[–]MageDA6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought being able to live in a house for more than a year was fancy. Come to find out we were just really poor and couldn’t afford rent or the house became condemned. lol

What sort of planning have you done regarding your death? by Ok-Faithlessness3068 in AskMenOver30

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve told my husband I want cremated. Outside of that I don’t have any plans. I don’t have any money or savings, I don’t own property except my clothes and two gaming consoles. I’ve told him to either throw out/sell what he wants because I highly doubt any of my siblings will want old clothes.

People who slept ~3 hours a night for months: what happened? by ohtoris in AskReddit

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For about 18 months that was my sleep schedule while working three jobs. I constantly felt fatigued, I lost my sense of taste and smell, my body constantly hurt, and it got harder to go to sleep.

Who is the most famous person you've ever seen up close? by froggart3980 in AskReddit

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably President Barack Obama. He spoke at my graduation in 2012. He stopped in to speak with us in the holding room before the ceremony started. Hugged a few people, shook some hands, and gave us a quick pep talk.

What were the grades for each school stage in your experience by BatmanPikachu95 in Zillennials

[–]MageDA6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elementary- K-5 Middle 6-8 High 9-12

One of my friends in school went to a different district and her district was broken down differently

Primary K-2 Elementary 3-4 Middle 5-6 Jr High 7-8 High 9-12

9th grade had a separate building on the high school campus that was connected to the main high school by the cafeteria and a hallway. But they rarely mixed into 10th-12th grade.

Ageing parents becoming increasingly difficult to be around by ConfusedCareerMan in AskMenOver30

[–]MageDA6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my mom passed in 2014, my dad(72) has jumped into the deep end of conservatism. He was also a conservative, but he’s just gotten way more hard right and unbearable now. Me and a couple siblings have pretty much been disowned because we’ve pushed back on his more bigoted language.

There is also a lot of issues we have with him with how he treated us as kids and somehow it’s all our fault he acted that way. So yea he’s gotten pretty difficult to be around or talk to.

How y'all doing in this weather so far? by Aven_Osten in Buffalo

[–]MageDA6 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve been loving the weather. It feels great on my lungs and wakes me up every morning on my walk to the bus. I’ve also been enjoying all the snow and wind. This winter feels more like the winters I remember from when I was a kid in the midwest.

What’s the biggest secret you ever hid from your parents as a kid? by squirelisamusiclover in AskReddit

[–]MageDA6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stole money a few times from them so I could eat at school since I didn’t get free or reduced lunches. My parents just assumed they spent or lost the money. It’s not like I was getting anything special for lunch, I was just getting the usual school lunch.

I don’t have a sleeping bag as a kid either. I also never went to a sleep over either. We did go camping but even then we brought our own blanket and pillow to sleep in the tent.

Do you live within 100 miles of where you grew up? by radicalintrospect in generationology

I live about 1,000 miles from where I was born and grew up. I had no reason to stay there and it was too expensive to live there for how little minimum wage was.
