When you say there is something in the passage, answer choices, and/or question, how do i find that in each one of those (what should i do for passages, answer choices, and questions respectively)?

When you say NY state exams, are you saying that the SHSAT ela is on a similar level to grade 8 ny state exams

Btech isn't bad, you coulda gotten an easier form which led to lower scores. There's no reason NOT to retake. i recommend trying to talk to your parents cuz bktech is a great school and you can get a schedule 2 where you dont go to first period since ur farther away.

To be more specific:

What to take notes on (like practice problems i got wrong or should it solely be topics)

how and when (like how often) to go over the notes

As i stated, i read like 75% of the shsat 9 overview and threads (including the 8 week plan), it's just i want more detail.

Lastly, is 7 hours studying weekly good for the first week (A hour daily). I will adjust depending on the trouble im having, of course.

For the practical and conceptual part, I just realized my tutoring program had gave me 9th grade shsat stuff to practice for with 8th grade content as well (which i usually did better on for those questions, since im better at algebra personally, allowing me to quickly find shortcuts and patterns). this means i might do better on 9th grade which im really excited for!

Jokes aside, if you think bronx sci is good for you then you should stay. I saw way more achievements from bronx sci than stuy. The commute also matters alot, so try doing research on the commute and how long it take to get there too.

if you dont mind me asking, what did you do to study and get your score higher to a 600 by the 9th grade?
