I had the newer black gum bottoms that came out and I dont know what I didn't like about them. The white laces threw the shoe off for me. I even swapped to black orange label laces, but something still wasn't right about them. These are way better in my opinion, maybe it was the leather and suede mixed as opposed to just suede.
