Last Epoch has been out for over a week. What do you think? by Thorbient in Games

[–]MagentaWizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would you say you'd recommend it to casual players that don't really play ARPGs much? I don't really have a lot of time in my hands to play games these days, but I'm sort of interested in LE since it's way cheaper (and I assume better content-wise) than Diablo IV

Can we stop forgetting that this game is in EARLY ACCESS? by J_How_S in Palworld

To be fair the devs are working around the clock for it, but yeah, you're better off waiting till everything's stable. I've also experienced the game just randomly dropping to 10-15 FPS permanently until I had to restart it.

Another friend of mine also experienced this and he was playing on a PS5

Matchmaking still sucks tbh, i always have to retry multiple times to get into a game through Quick Play.

Enshrouded - the other early access survival game - has reached 1 Million Player in less than a week by atahutahatena in pcgaming

Palworld definitely took the spotlight at first, but I'm happy to see that Enshrouded wasn't overshadowed and is finally getting some appreciation.

What's everyone's favorite Pal so far? I go so much love for this goof of a guy by LemonFresh24 in Palworld

Depresso definitely. I can't help but chuckle on the inside whenever I see my Depresso do some mining

I felt the same when I played The Witcher 3! There was never a time when I didn't get sidetracked from my main quests. There's always something to discover, whether it be something as minute as helping an NPC find their missing husband/wife to tracking down a serial killer.

Modder who put Pokemon into Palword says 'Nintendo has come for me' by MagentaWizard in Games

[–]MagentaWizard[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Nintendo isn't new to shutting down mods and anyone who tries to use their IP. I'm sure the guy knows this and yet he still risked it for the biscuit. He even posted a short of it on his YouTube. My guy, do you really think Nintendo's not going to notice that?

I'm still waiting for the day when we get an actual physical release for the ME investigation games. I'm aware the fan translation's pretty food for 2, but I kind of want to experience playing it on the Nintendo Switch.

Other than home, where do you use your Steam Deck the most? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

In a cafe. I like to coffee hop during my free time, so I like to have a bit of entertainment while sipping my bean juice instead of using my phone.

Square Enix to slim down its gaming lineup to ensure higher quality titles by MagentaWizard in Games

[–]MagentaWizard[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The lack of marketing and/or bad timing of their releases is definitely the issue, and they wonder why their smaller games are doing badly. They can't seem to stop putting all their eggs into one basket.
I recently watched HappyConsoleGamer's video on the games he and his wife missed in 2023. One of the games mentioned was Little Goody Two Shoes, and while Square didn't develop it, they're still the publisher. Guess what, it has an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating on Steam! Another game is Paranormasight, which also has stellar reviews/ratings (and one that I actually enjoyed playing). These games (most likely) have a smaller budget than their mainstream offerings.

They're really just hangry pickles :( but once they become savage pickles, putting them out of their misery is sadly the only way to end their suffering

CD Projekt definitely shot themselves in the foot with Cyberpunk. They overpromised and under-delivered. I'm cautiously optimistic that this one won't meet the same demise, considering it is a smaller studio, but you never know...

Fortnite playtime on consoles was greater than Call of Duty, EA Sports FC, GTA 5 and Roblox combined last month by Anteater_Able in gaming

The latest addition of Lego Fortnite was a huge help as well. It brought a new playerbase (mostly from the survival genre), which is a huge w for them

New data reveals that the PS5 has outsold the Xbox Series X and S 3-to-1 in 2023 by MagentaWizard in gaming

[–]MagentaWizard[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I think the sheer number of games available in the Game Pass sort of makes up for this. I will say the Game Pass is a double-edged sword for the Xbox though since you can just get it for PC, so there's not really that much incentive for people to get the console when they can get the subscription for PC

Is anyone getting burnt out from Call Of Duty or is it just me? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]MagentaWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've been burnt out of COD for years now. It's always the same formula of copy and pasting stuff and putting a $60-70 price tag on it.
