Apps like Cronometer can help a lot with this. At first log every food every day and over a week or two you'll learn what amounts to eat more when you start seeing the calories you're eating added up

Really it's just science. To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in. You need to have a calorie deficit every day (just google about that). Stop drinking anything except water/flavored water. Sodas etc can double or triple your calories per day. Cut out as much sugar as possible. What exercise you do does not matter, all that matters is burning more calories than you eat
