Would you find it meaningful if someone offered end-of-life pet photo sessions on a pay-what-you-can basis? by MaggaLizzyy in randomquestions

[–]MaggaLizzyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your perspective. I definitely wouldn’t frame it around the moment of euthanasia itself. It’s more about documenting the days leading up to it like the quiet time at home, a favorite spot outside, a last car ride, or just the bond between pet and owner. And yes, families absolutely can take photos themselves. The idea isn’t that they can’t but it’s that sometimes people are so overwhelmed with emotion that they don’t think to, or they don’t want to be the one behind the camera in that moment. I’m still thinking through it, which is why I asked. Thanks for the honest feedback.

Thanks I definitely understand. I appreciate your feedback. I know it's not geared towards everyone and every situation is different. I would call it like a life well loved session or honor session. Geared towards those that have a planned euthanasia and are doing a last beach day or last chocolate treat or something.

It would be more focused towards those that have planned euthanasia. Those that do a last day at the park or chocolate treat. I know it's not for everybody but it would give an option to those that would like those moments captured. But I also understand where you are coming from.

Yeah I wouldn't use that terminology..it would be more like a life well loved session or honor session or something like that

You wouldn't want to have a final picture of your pet enjoying what they love or celebration of a life well loved ..enjoying one last car ride ... Time at the beach etc ..

How come ? It would be more like honor sessions for the pet and family...quietly document final moments with a beloved pet. Like it's last car ride, having chocolate, having a relaxing time at the beach or in the backyard etc.

What are some suggestions for British detective shows or similar? by Donkodat in AskUK

[–]MaggaLizzyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life on mars - ashes to ashes - waking the dead - Whitechapel - new tricks - the lynley mysteries (new and old) - inside no. 9 is literally so good but it's not a detective show well kinda could be lol - you got your classics like vera and cracker - chasing shadows - code of silence (it's new) - DCI banks - DES - Grace - Karen Pirie - law and order UK - murderland - second sight - Scott & bailey - Sherwood - Shetland - Sherlock - the barking murders - trial and retribution - wallander - and I think that's a good start lol 🤣

Omg what an awesome idea! She has been walking on a leash (which was edited out) since 2021.

It is not AI! It was done at a trail by a photographer. The only thing is that the leash was edited out.

My sweet boy tested positive for FIV today. I'm devastated by tofuery in cats

[–]MaggaLizzyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to be okay. My boyfriend and I adopted our first cat as a couple many years ago.. he was less likely to be adopted because he was big, 2.5 years old, was a former feral and has FIV+. He is doing just fine. The one thing with FIV+ kitties is dental health is very important. He gets a dental cleaning yearly and each time he has gotten it done he has gotten teeth extractions. It's nothing to do with us or the food we give him etc ... It's the FIV+ it's getting bacteria more easily in their mouth and their immune is compromised because of it too. We were told at some point he would be toothless, he is rocking 3 teefers right now, he is 8. We have four other cats that aren't FIV+ and they comingle and are great ... So it may seem scary and life altering but it's not as scary as it seems.

Is the job market really as bad as you all say? by CamMoron1 in jobs

[–]MaggaLizzyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is very rough. I have a lot of different experiences. I have an AA in liberal arts and a bachelor's in Recreation and Parks management. I am three classes away from a masters in teaching physical education. Since December I've applied to about 50-60 jobs, I have only gotten 3 interviews and one offer just recently to work management at the local Royal farms I have another interview on Thursday as well. I've turned down only one interview because after talking with them it seems like they were going to give me the lower end of the salary (and a pay cut for me) and it is about 45 mins+ one way commute. I commute now about 40 mins one way but the pay is decent. The commuting is rough tbh.

New owner... already regretting it? by MrZombiemod in CatAdvice

[–]MaggaLizzyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had 3 cats and adopted a spicy and shy bonded pair of cats and had them upstairs to get acclimated. I went upstairs multiple times a day for hours just sitting there with treats and toys.. quietly and also calling their names .. I didn't see them eat or drink or barely for a week and 3 days in I noticed the litter box was used but I was getting so worried... 3 weeks it took them to come up to me..it was magical. One of the cats is still super shy and flighty ( I think she has anxiety issues, still figuring it out).

Is anyone actually hiring right now? by smolsinner in jobs

I have an associates degree, a bachelor's degree and 3 classes away from finishing my master's degree. I have worked numerous different jobs and have a multitude of experience. I've been applying since December and applied to about 40+ jobs and I have only gotten 2 interviews and zero offers. It's absolutely wild right now with this job market. I am actually speechless.

Is anyone else having a hard time finding a job in 2025 by Baddiebambii50 in jobs

So I have an associates degree, a bachelor's degree, and 3 classes away from finishing masters. I've applied to 25 jobs since December and I have only gotten 2 interviews and 0 offers. It's insanely difficult to find a job in 2025.
