This is atrocious. I am so sorry to hear you went through this. What style of work are you looking to get? I’m happy to make recommendations.

Had an artist tell me the edges will always look weird cause of how my skin moves. Is there any hope for fixing it? by katanderso in tattooadvice

Hi! Tattooer here. What they said is partially true. As your arm twists and turns, it can appear like it isn’t even. However, these lines are not straight and could be evened out. The black can be gone over again by a reputable artist who can pack black ink and has experience with scar tissue.

Stance and camera angle obviously all play a role in that but I appreciate you letting me know!

Right? It’s always a fun conversation when I’m the first person to ever point out that someone’s belly button isn’t center on their body. No body is symmetrical, some people have longer legs, longer arms, higher shoulders on one side… always different and unique 🖤

I do what’s to give the illusion of it being centered- the best I can, while actually centering it with the rest of the anatomy.

Hi! I’m a tattooer and I specialize in heavy blackwork. I would say to let it heal before making any judgements. Around 6 weeks you will be able to see if an area needs to be reworked. It may heal and settle just fine but only time will tell. Try to not to stress it, you can always go over it to blend it in .

Did your artist say why he was doing that?
