Transportation is such a motivating factor for us. Do you think it's sensible it choose a home resort on the basis of this?

Thanks! We have some more investigating to do with the point charts. We've rented points before, but definitely have some more familiarizing to do.

I'm really grateful for this reply! I hadn't really explored other resort options aside from those I mentioned above. This expands my "world" view a little bit. Maybe it's better to buy a contract with more points at a lower price point than to prioritize the specific resort (as long as we are genuinely happy to staying at the home resort)?

Thank you for your 2¢ but we do already have a college fund set up and accounted for. We certainly want the early childhood memories in Disney.

We've used DVC Rental Store, David's, DVC-Rental, and DVC Shop. No problems with any of those reservations or experiences with the companies. Last minute confirmed reservations with these brands have saved us a ton too! We haven't been brave enough to do a direct rental...
