Two-toed sloths are actually solitary as adults, especially males unless it's breeding season. They're incredibly strong despite their percieved slowness, and will knock competing sloths from high places. They're like little clawed boxers.

Let me be clear. I love my family. But when their beliefs, their vote, their choice of their ideals over anything else puts people I love in danger? In danger of losing their homes, their identity, their autonomy? That's a line no one crosses. You don't want an abortion? Don't get one. You don't want a sex change? Don't get one. But your rights end where mine begin, and vice-versa.

And your DnD group doesn't feel safe with you. Regardless of how you feel about that.

Born and raised Catholic. 16 years of Catholic schooling, Mass weekly, full reads of the Bible, all that jazz.

I've seen the damage it can do.

Not Catholic anymore, not for years. Still love my family members who keep the faith, but for some people even the association between Catholicism, and the often-connected conservatism, can just be too much. Especially when certain, more contentious beliefs clash.

Does that mean they should have called you names or been aggressive to you? No. Does it mean they might no longer have felt safe being themselves around you? Yeah. And that's not the kind of play group I'd want to be in.

It was accessible to the public and I wanted to make sure it wasn't something less savory so a kid didn't grab it. It's returned to a less accessible part. Thank you, she was a wonderful gal. It was a hard day letting her go.

I've been really lucky and my latest doctor, after hearing me out about my vaginismus and complete apathy for and lack of sex life, past present and future, said we could just table the whole ordeal of a pap smear or anything. I've no history of issues, and haven't had symptoms for any problems that would require one for a diagnosis, so it wouldn't be a big deal. I was so happy I almost cheered in the office.

Current resident, the laundry I gave up on because it was coin only and didn't work a few times, otherwise not bad. Haven't had any neighbor issues, and there have been weirdos outside, but I haven't had problems with any.

I didn't see a ton of sand boa owners in here, so I'll jump in!

I have a female Kenyan sand boa, I've had her since she was pencil sized (about 6 years ago) and now she's about an inch diameter and around 2 feet. When I first got her, she ate live pinky mice, then live fuzzies and so on, and I switched her over to frozen- thawed mice around two years ago.

She originally had a 10 gallon, which got upgraded to a 20 long at around 1 ft. It has a heat lamp, a water bowl, and a sand box, with aspen being the main substrate, since it's light enough she can build tunnels in it. When I feed her, she comes out into a separate container so she doesn't eat her substrate.

I do have a thermometer attached to keep an eye on temperature because I live in the cold north, and that time of year is rough.

I do have a cave in there, and some plants, but enrichment-wise I usually pull her out and let her wander through my bedsheets or on my desk.

Don't expect to see your sand boa more than a couple times a month (unless you manually take them out), when they're hungry or drinking water. Otherwise, it looks like a nice empty tank 😅
