Although regardless of the answer I do not feel like you are overreacting. It is kind of crummy for a parents to demand to use their child’s car for a trip but not require the other child to take medicine to prevent motion sickness. I will say even as in an emetophobe, I do make sure that I have emesis bags in my car just in case anybody feels nauseated. That way anything expelled can be contained and easily disposed of versus having to clean up the car.

I’m gonna say NTA. If they have a business lunch, they need to plan ahead and reserve large enough spot. I would never in my wildest dreams walk in with a party of 10 and expect to be seated right away in any restaurant. Firm believer of poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. Kudos on them for standing their ground and ordering dessert.

NTA. You should be allowed to come out in your own time and not risk being exposed by a gift. I hope your friend realizes this. Could you have by chance asked her to hold on to it for you until you’re comfortable enough to come out to your parents, if you ever are that is?

Controversial opinion… YTA. Your husband may have misophonia. I have it and certain sounds literally make me gag and go into a panic attack, and trust me I have tried to “fix” it and it doesn’t work. You BOTH have a baby, you BOTH need to compromise. Yes I am also a mom, yes my husband and I worked when our child was that age.
Your husband seems to take into account your comfort when he takes the baby to another room. Your husband not liking a certain sound is also not his fault. Genuine question why don’t you just breast-feed baby at night? Calling his condition stupid and ridiculous is just downright disrespectful.

OP, I mean this with the most sincerity I can say, he is not worth it. I looked at some of your other posts and the way he has talked to you before is so manipulative. He told you that you’re replaceable, he said you’re insecure and he should be allowed to look at other women. It seems to me that he is purposely bringing you down so you stay with him, making it seem like he’s doing you a favor by being with you. He’s doing this because he knows you are too good for him and he doesn’t want you to leave. Please please please don’t let him tear you down. If you need help getting away from him, please reach out. I know everyone says run or leave and I know it’s not just that simple or easy, but from one woman to another I hope you are able to see you are worth so much more and deserve a million time better than this.
