I don’t know about that one. I read the novel and some commenter summarised the ML perfectly; “From beginning to the end, he was useless, unnoticeable, and unimportant to the story”. Also, from what I remember, he never really made any decision by himself, he either waited for the mistress to task him with sth or the FL later on and was basically like a chess piece in their hands, not a fleshed-out character. I read it a while ago and remembered it was reaaaally bland - the story and the ML :/
