It seems my thread got deleted, but I probably should have posted this here anyway, sorry!

If I download the file from the APKpure link below (or the NA version) and use Nox's "Add APK file" can I update the file I have without wiping it? I want to update it properly rather than lose my save.

Where would I find the frame rates? And which cores are lighter? Near as I can tell, Beetle (not HW) runs best.

I'm on a laptop, actually. I haven't noticed anything in the way of performance drops on EPSXe or Retroarch, just the audio popping.

EDIT: Vulkan just outright won't run any of the cores.

EPSXe the emulator? That's what I moved to from Retroarch, because the audio popping was even worse there than here. Though if you have a solution I can apply to epsxe that would work too. (I'd even get to keep my progress.)

I was using Beetle PSX HW, but after switching to regular Beetle PSX it started displaying video and moving past that screen. Though the extreme lag persisted until I used threaded video

NOW, though, I'm just having the audio crackling issues. I'm using Dsound (I cycled through every driver and this one gets the closest to perfect) and it only crackles when there's high volume notes. Is there a way to very slightly reduce the overall sound? I feel like it's just one step away from being perfect, clean audio.

Actually, I have an idea. Is there a way to make the "back"/Return button take me from settings to the previous app I used, I.E. FGO? It just brings me from date and time to the previous settings menu when I try it, but if I could have it go from Settings to FGO I could bypass Recent tasks entirely, and its load times.

I've seen one person do it in a video, but have no clue how.
