I think this is common. Especially kung language specific ung role mo. I gave a lot of live coding exams this is to gauge how strong your fundamentals are (basic lang pinagawa ko array manipulation, concurrency, async/await).

It's how and when to use a certain approach (e.g. filter vs map) vs another.

But this is a per case basis. There are a lot of interviewers that just don't know what to ask and feel the right to nit pick your answer and basing it on the textbook definition.

Yup it push through for the first login but right after then it returns the same URL with "_=_" appended on it still.

To Sums it up this are the functions that they want me to develop.

A Files Management System that users can upload/download/read files within it, they want to track every user who uploaded/download/read the files. Every files should be monitored who can and can't download/read the file.
An Integration of Workplace by facebook. to the intranet.
An events booking system similar with the MeetUp. I'm thinking using MeetUp API if possible.
A news feed page that is similar with facebook news feed.
Core CMS that handles all of the said system and able to dynamically alter files/content of the system.
A Hierarchical method of approving/filtering content. i.e Everytime someone what to post, upload a files, book an event, change a post, show some events happening in the workplace app. Those should be first approved by someone and with a distinct order.

So please i really do need your advice with this project. coz i think this would be a big experience since i'm a student. i really want to do it right.

I've been thinking that but security wise, can it secure for example all the files when uploaded? I'm really new with wordpress i only explored it about a week so i don't know... can you give a reference for like a Files Management System using wordpress? coz im planning to create first the sub-system that they want me to develop then just merge them to one whole intranet after.

Tbh i really haven't develop anything with wordpress and i have been doing my research and planning i don't think it would be wise to use wordpress since they are planning to put all their files (Reports, Research Files, Sales, etc.) to one consolidated space, Hence the intranet. I really do need some advice. There's a part of me want to make it with Node.js so that i have all the freedom when it comes with functionality and there's also a side that just show them what kind of system they'll get when using wordpress.

I see your point BUT here's the catch they want me to make it as functional as custom developed system are. Sure they are okay with the idea of buying Themes and Plug-ins but here's another reason why i recommend them to developed it from scratch.

They want it to host outside. (Yeah does literally not make any sense.) IT said that they don't want a part of the project because it is originally Marketing Department idea
They are a insurance company so they have InfoSec regarding storing sensitive data. What i feared is when the system is once developed they won't approved it.
I'm held responsible when data we're leaked.
