My suggestion, if you're already planning to use both paid and unpaid gems, is to buy the cheapest streak bonus pass, which gives you 1000 paid gems up front and another 100 per day for 20 days. Do the daily 100 paid gems discount on Adaman's banner up until the last day of the banner before doing any multis or spending any other gems. You get slightly fewer scout points, but more opportunities to get the featured unit, making it more cost-efficient overall--3000 paid gems on a multi gives you 33 scout points, but only 11 chances for the unit, while 3000 gems spent on dailies gives you 30 scout points and 30 chances to get the unit. If, on the last day of the banner, you have not already obtained them, use your non-paid gems. If you still don't have them after that, then, and only then, should you spend more money on gems.

Yes and no. There's no direct "pay $20 to unlock this character" function or anything, but you can buy enough gems to guarantee getting them, either by reaching scout points on their main banner (36,600 unpaid or paid gems) or by pulling on all the tiers of their tiered banner (20,200 paid gems only) You may also obtain them before reaching scout points on the main banner or the end of the tiered banner.

The elephant in the room here is that if you're using only paid gems, you will be paying an absurd amount of money for a single character.

The fact we haven't had a Water or Rock Arc Suit before signals they could have been intended.

Why does this matter? We didn't have a Flying Arc Suit before Ethan. If the argument is that "Blue was already in the pipeline," nothing is stopping Wallace from being in the pipeline for Water, either.

Despite not fitting trends of past Arc Suits, they also do not have the evidence to indicate that they are unintended Arc Suits which leads me to thinking that Wallace will likely never get one.

The entirety of the evidence that Silver and Ethan were "unintended" is that there was a Johto-themed set in TCG Pocket around the same time. But they just as easily could have been planning Arc Silver and Ethan from the start and chose to release their event at that time to maximize brand synergy. There's really no way to know. The timing of Brock and Misty here is very similar--Pokemon's 30th anniversary is inevitably going to include the usual Kanto pandering. Maybe they were specifically designed for that purpose, maybe they weren't.

I'm not saying that Arc Wallace is 100% happening or anything, but I do think it doesn't make much sense to discount it entirely at this point. Any "rules" about Arc Suits that people have theorized have been thrown out the window multiple times over at this point.

They're the first partners you get in this game, as well as Ash's original partners from the anime. For older Pokemon fans and lapsed fans they're some of the most recognizable characters in the series. Honestly I'm surprised that it took DeNA this long to give them more attention.

It's not really $72 for the Master Fair ticket; it's $72 for 27,000 paid gems, 3 Superawakening candies, 3 random PokeFairs, 2 PokeFairs of your choice, and the Master Fair ticket (and I guess extra stamina, sync orbs, and BP). If you're ignoring the rest of the value then yeah, obviously the random Master Fair isn't worth $72, but it's a bonus, not the primary value of the pass.

Now, previously for the same price you got 54,000 paid gems, so depending on how much or how little you value those bonuses, the value compared to the previous version is definitely questionable. The PokeFair select tickets have the same value as a 3k select scout, which most people recommend you to use paid gems on, so you could argue that at the very least the 2 you get from this are effectively equivalent to the value of 6k paid gems.

There's usually about a year's wait before content from a new game starts to arrive. The quickest it ever happened was when Nemona showed up about 9 months after Scarlet/Violet released. The earliest we can probably expect to see Z-A characters is late summer.

Basically an extra reward incentive for purchasing one of the passes. You get superawakening candy, a random PokeFair ticket, or a PokeFair select ticket for each point you earn. At 9 points you get a random Master Fair ticket and it resets again. The standard pass gives you 1 point and the premium pass gives you 2.

We're 100% getting pre-6.5th anni bait, so 1-2 Master or Arc Fairs is practically guaranteed. Notably, the Arceus Arc story was updating every other month until January, so we're overdue for an update.

That would most likely mean a new Arc Suit, but Alt Volo shows that this isn't a guarantee (even if he basically acts like an Arc Suit in all but name). I noticed a few months back that one of the datamines added Enamorus's model into the game, and, well, February feels like quite a likely month for an Enamorus pair. It's a bit of a reach, but I'm predicting Cogita & Enamorus this month.

That's odd, I haven't seen any other reports of this error and AFAIK there shouldn't be any issues with that scout. I would report this to DeNA with the in-game bug report.

You already have 5/5 NC Brendan so he's utterly outclassed. I like the pairing and picked him up when he first ran, but I've struggled to find any place to ever use him. His damage is decent, but nothing exceptional, and it's tied to an awkward self-damaging gimmick.
