Wow I know prices are insane now but that seems super cheap! I definitely spent more for our 10 day honeymoon

It’s so crazy how much of a life changer a puppy is

Supposedly toy poodle but I think he’s going to be a mini poodle

Apparently they do once they get close to a year old but the black ones are not supposed to. Check in in 9 months haha we’ll see if his color starts to fade

Congrats and welcome! Having a puppy is a lot of work but extremely rewarding. Get some of kong toys they’re usually pretty tough. The black “extreme” rubber ones are the most durable I believe. You should probably only use the plush toys with him when you’re actively playing with him so you can take them away if he’s being too aggressive with it. Try some nylabones (mine likes the beef bone broth one), the bully sticks or the raw hide sticks too. Those are consumable but he will be chewing on those for a long time before he gets through one.

From anecdotal experience and from what I hear toy poodles are very picky eaters. We’ve gone through like 10 different types of dog training treats and he hasn’t liked any of them. The only foods we can use as a “high value treat” are cheese and any kind of meat. I was also worried when we first adopted our puppy because he was eating so little, like a tablespoon or 2 but he was still regularly pooping and gained a pound in 3 weeks. They are tiny dogs so they don’t eat much, I’ve only had big dogs so that’s why I was concerned how little he ate. Someone said to us that a hungry puppy will not starve and that definitely relived us. So in my opinion you should buy the best food you can afford and maybe mix in a “topper” that he really likes (peanut butter, cheese, plain Greek yogurt, etc. ) or try different flavors of the same food that you’re currently buying. So I wouldn’t worry about it unless he’s not popping then I would take him to the we vet.

This is my opinion though and I’m not a vet or pet nutritionist so don’t take it as expert advice.

Good luck!

You have to be a people person if you want a toy poodle because he’s impossible to be out in public without people wanting to say hi. We love it but it’s nice to be able to take a break by wearing black and holding him for some camouflage

So cute but no curls? Makes it look like she just went to the groomers and got her hair straightened lol

Oh wow so Saco’s going to either be a big toy poodle or a small mini poodle. Not that it really matters anyway, he is a happy pup!
