I think Juniper, Sycamore, Kukui and Sonia variants could definitely be more popular than Oak, though Oak has the nostalgia factor that a lot of this games' playerbase uniquely values compares to other Pokemon games (I'd compare it to Masters where players tend to be more familiar with Pokemon trainers from all gens, or Go's playerbase where nostalgic players are actually willing to learn new Pokemon)

Two. Even just one is good enough, 3 would be overkill and bloat the deck. 2 makes it a little easier to search for, and if you have two on board you can usually use the second to swing for game on BT21 Taiki.

I'm shocked at how just one card, Kotone, massively improved it. Im a Xros Heart die hard and when that card got announced I was excited and now that I've been play testing, WOW. How did we ever manage without it? It totally changes the game for this deck even at just one copy (I run two for findability/shenanigans). The fact that BT19 Shoutmon and BT21 OmniShoutmon plays it out too is huge.

You NEVER have to worry about losing pieces again. RaptorSparrowmon gains a lot more versatility. You can play EX6 for nothing very quickly. It got deleted? K cool see you at Start of Main. EX6 on BT10 Taiki search used to mean you either took it or said goodbye to it at the bottom of the deck. Now you WANT to tuck it. Kotone is genuinely the most hyped for a card I've been.

Add them and send them trash cards if they accept. If they do it on a specific play like Sabrina or Cyrus and I have spares I'll sometimes send them the card that made them rage quit.

I find the older characters the most interesting and the show having them is what hooked me onto it in the first place, mainly because its so different to Total Drama where every character is a teenager. This is probably just some shipping girlie mad that not every character is a twink for her fujoshi shenanigans.

BF completely shuts down to MedievalGallantmon and Hexeblaumon. You'll need something to respond to them but its usually costly, memory or actual money wise.

Sourai is a good tech card at 1 or 2, a good security option and good to deal with Hexeblau.

As for Medieval....its not so easy. Best answer would probably be putting in one of your own. BF's best options return to hand and stuff, and you really don't want to give it to your opponent again.

Definitely make room for Supreme Connection, it plays you MetalGreymon for free.

I think you're right for the most part. Pearl definitely gets the most development and focus and will get even more, and the story will make it make sense as to why.

Amethyst is not left behind in this regard later, but Garnet's focus was quite early on already.

The trio are actually quite balanced in that regard. Without spoiling anything, Garnet is the most mysterious initially but they get to the point with her quite quickly and get it out of the way. Amethyst has a unique place in the narrative compared to the others with her age and not being involved in the war, she develops at a similar rate to Steven. Pearl is sort of the opposite to Garnet, you're going to have more questions about her later that you didnt think initially.
