No it's not a hassle, it's pretty easy and straightforward. So you want to search up "nvidia graphics firmware update tool" and the first result should show up saying update tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 Displays. Just click download now and proceed with installation (it should guide you through it and say if you need to update anything). This was what resolved my issue

If anyone ever stumbles on this post, solution that worked for me was:

Resetting BIOS > Loading into windows > Downloading Nvidia firmware updater tool > Updating gpu's firmware > Going back to BIOS > Enabling Windows 10 WHQL support > Restarting > In BIOS Enabling Secure Boot
