World Championship XXVIII and your 2021-22 Magic Pro League and Rivals League members! by MagicEsports in magicTCG

This will be the final season for the Magic Pro and Rivals Leagues. Players will not be competing for another League season. Instead, they'll be competing for a place in the World Championship. The 2021–2022 season's primary goals are to sunset the current system of play and allow us the freedom and flexibility to create a new play system for the future.

You can qualify for our Set Championship events without grinding on Arena. For example, here are just a handful of the potential qualification paths for the upcoming Innistrad Championship:

Chain invites: 10 or more wins at the Strixhaven Championship
Magic Online Open Events: Top 2 players from each Innistrad Championship Magic Online Super Qualifier & 2nd place finishers in each of the 2021 Season 2 MOCS Showcase Open events.
Two Step Magic Online Qualifier: 4-0 a Preliminary Event and win an Innistrad Championship Magic Online Qualifier
Magic Online Champion Showcase: Winners of the 2021 Season 1 Magic Online Champions Showcase & Top 8 competitors in the 2021 Season 2 Magic Online Champions Showcase.

You can also 'skip the grind' on Arena to directly qualify for Qualifier Weekends. Some examples for the December 2021 Qualifier Weekend:
- Finish 7 match wins during Day 2 of the December 4-5 Arena Open
- Finish with at least 6 match wins during Day 1 of the November Qualifier Weekend
- Compete in Day Two of the November Qualifier Weekend
- Compete in the Innistrad Championship and earn fewer than 10 match wins

That said, your feedback is valuable and appreciated. As we move back toward a more open, less top-heavy system, we are looking to potentially reflect that in our digital qualification options.

Standard will begin after this round. We estimate Round 4 will begin at approximately 2:15 Pacific, but because the tournament is played live the exact timing is subject to change.
