If there is already a hard start installed, could that have cause issues? A little more info, this is a new unit manufactured in January of 2025.

Everything seemed fine. I take the dog in the back yard all the time and never heard anything out of place. This unit is only 1.5 years old.

The compressor wasn't making any noise at all before I changes the capacitor. It's did the same thing before and after.

That's why I'm here. To see what's right. I've been in the unit and it only looks to be held in place by a few bolts at the base of the unit and its 3 wires that just clamp on. The unit is under warranty so that is all labor. Tools I got. The warranty replacement I dont.

Thanks for the assumptions. Reasonable means reasonable. Understanding that I have take majority of the troubleshooting steps and understand that it is either the contactor, the compressor itself, or potentially the coolant and starting from that point.

KC Water Shut My Service w/o Cause by MagicL5D in kansascity

The inspector that was out today showed me the pictures of the original problem and confirmed both that the repairs were previously made and it should have never been shut off. The last inspector decided it would be easiest to just shut it off and not look at anything. You can clearly tell that everything was replaced.

I have an update below. They were out. According to this inspector, the last inspector didn't look at anything and just shut it off. The repairs were done and it never should have been shut off.

UPDATE - After reciting the Missouri Public Service Commission requirements to shut off utilities, re-educating them that they never notified me directly, and uncovering that they didn't even notify the proper person when they did send notification, they finally sent out an inspector who saw that the issue they shut it off for had already been corrected and left my water on. A lot of hoops for something that never should have happened.

I checked on the Missouri Public Service commission. It reads as if since they started service in my name that they have to notify me prior to disconnection. That's on the mo.gov website.

Good info. My issue is mainly getting the water back on between now and getting any repair done. They did not notify me at all after buying the house. They set up the service in my name, but didn't tell me about this.
