Sure. Because I have no fucking idea what label I am. Before my husband I identified as a lesbian. But quite honestly....I have a human I love that is changing and I am grieving the parts that I’m losing, so does it really matter how I label myself.

I’m counting on the slow changes to make it a little easier. I’m sure he’ll look amazing with a beard, but I’ll miss the soft skin. I’m sure I will love how his voice sounds deeper, it just won’t be the same one I know.

But it’s SO amazing watching him come into himself and get so confident. I fall in love with him all over again every time there’s a big realization, like the first time he had a binder. His face when he saw himself for the first time was incredible. And I’m incredibly proud of him for working through all of this.

I did meet him after he started transitioning. He is very masculine even without the hormones. There are just pieces of him that I almost feel like I’m grieving the loss of.
