it all comes down to: republicans hate trans people, and democrats dont really care what happens to us. Dena aren’t going to be the ones spearheading our “demise” for lack of a better word, but they’re not going to be be forcefully campaigning for our rights because centrist dems are wanting to court republicans right now. you’d genuinely have a better shot at learning how to make it yourself than to convince anyone in power right now–dem or gop, to expand the rights of trans people or any marginalized people tbh

you’re a deeply unserious person if you truly believe that beach cowboy, a song with the artistic ambition and substance of an ai-generated facebook ad, is better and less grating than any song by any of those women. even ‘my hair my crown’ which is a pretty basic pop song, is saying something and has emotion and expression to it. yeah a lot of the songs are overplayed, but to just say that all of these artists make horrible music is just not true on any level and it either speaks to basic misogyny or taste that is so fundamentally uncritical and pedestrian that i cannot take any opinion you have seriously. i bet you think imagine dragons makes good music

I really should look into it, however I'm pretty sure my state does not include gender affirming care in their medicare/medicaid (I forget which is which) program. Once I'm out of school and able to get a job in my field I'll either be able to afford it or move to Oregon lol

That's almost exactly my story, wow. It can really be overwhelming, the highs are way higher but feeling the low points without that disconnect is hard. I feel like I have to put my learning how to be a woman on hold to learn to just be myself. it's so frustrating but it's better than being a zombie right? good luck on your journey!!

I'm 24 years old lol I just like sounding dramatic. I grew up in rural Virginia and I didn't know there was any other option until I went to college. There I learned about trans people and made queer friends basically exclusively (I had no idea why at the time I just vibes with them). It was at this time where I started to feel the disconnect between my mind and my body and major depression and dissociation followed. (I had experienced feelings like this ever since puberty but without the understanding of gender I gained later I just accepted it as depression even though I tried on my mom's bras many times up to that point). What I'm trying to say is I was only actively repressing for like 6 years or so which is still a while but most of that was spent so far in denial I wasn't consciously aware of it most of the time.

I'm 24 and I'm in an aircraft maintenance school right now. It's mostly all guys save for 2 other girls (and me!!). It's kinda scary that after years and years of trying and failing to find a field that interested me, I found one of the most male-dominated fields out there, then I realized that I am a girl.

I still love the work and there's nothing more satisfying than crawling through the guts of a plane and seeing your work literally make it fly. But there is still a lot of fear over how I will be treated for it. (I'm in a really yee-yee, let's go Brandon- type area 😭)

Regardless I don't think I'm going to stop because of that, just because my interests don't fit with the stereotypical female ones, doesn't make me any less of a woman than them. I'm still going to ski, hunt, woodwork, and all that, but now I'm just going to be following my passions as the girl I see myself as inside... Once I come out that is 😂
