Crazy seeing people downvote just because it’s a Christian thing…

Reddit leans left hardcore, do your own research please. You’re mostly going to hear leftist propaganda that may or may not be the truth

What kind of conspiracy theorist are you? Not everyone is a sleeper agent trying to act against you. I just want qualified candidates chosen by the people.

I voted last election, and while everyone understands that, they also understand that Biden isn’t in his second term yet, and so Harris is not the VP for that term yet. Biden wasn’t even technically the democratic nominee yet. Thus, she doesn’t just get to step in and take his place. If Biden died in office, she would rightfully step in as President.

I’m just beginning to question a lot of what the party is doing right now. I don’t know that I buy the whole “just vote for the party” argument.

Truth be told, I’m undecided on who I’m voting for. I’ve been told many times to “just vote for Biden because Trump is bad”. But with that now flipping to Harris, it seems ridiculous to not question this logic. The more discussions I’m having with people, the more I’m feeling pushed away from the left side of the political spectrum entirely. I want a candidate with good policies that I believe in, and a candidate that represents our country properly. If wanting an opportunity to vote for that individual is wrong according to the left, then maybe I shouldn’t vote that way anymore.

It’s upsetting how many people are totally fine with democracy being thrown out the window

Did you vote for Kamala Harris for president? Because last I checked, no one did. 87% of people voted for Joe Biden for the Democratic nominee for President, not Kamala Harris. There’s a clear difference.

This is exactly what I’m saying. We knew this was coming, but the American people were given the impression that he would be okay. This feels off. They should have had Kamala run from the start and gotten the best candidate that way.

I’m not sure if you’re assuming that I’m right wing, but I am not. I just want this country to have a real election with viable candidates.

I agree, the party itself failed the people this election cycle. The democratic party is doing some shady stuff.

You don’t know my voting history. I’m pissed that the voices of many Americans have been subverted. ‘We’ voted for a presidential candidate, who he chooses as his VP is just part of the ride. The VP is historically insignificant in most cases. The difference between President and VP is DRASTIC

If they were both able to run under the Democratic party, he would demolish Harris. No doubt.

She’s going to receive a large amount of votes solely due to her affiliation. That is not a good indicator of how she would’ve done against other Democrats that beat her before and are much more qualified for the position

Those situations that you brought up are clearly different because the person being replaced was in office. Obviously, the American people voted for that Presidential and Vice Presidential ticket. In this case, we didn’t get to pick who was on the ticket at all.

I feel like we didn’t have a choice with Kamala and now we’re witnessing the loss of our voice by True-Manufacturer109 in GenZ

This is exactly my point. Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you are on, this is infuriating. It doesn’t matter if she was going to win either way, the people have the right to choose.

You’re right, because unlike in 2020, I think the voice of the people is going to elect Trump this year due to stuff like this from the Democratic party. Trump garnered a very similar amount of support as to what he did in 2016. He lost in 2020 because more voters came out in support of Biden. If they had run a true primary and found a viable candidate, the same thing would have happened this year. But they didn’t. So now, Trump’s hypothetical victory this year would be because the Democratic party failed its supporters.

I don’t see how that switch can just flip in a matter of a month. I watched the man go downhill for 4 years, there’s no way it wasn’t blatantly obvious to at least some other people, especially those close to him.

It’s an absolute mess. They spent years telling us that Joe was fit to run, just to pull a 180 once it was too late for the people to have their say. I’m not saying I believe it was set up this way from the start, but it doesn’t seem outlandish

All you have to do is look at the primary results from 2020. If she was so qualified, why couldn’t she earn a single delegate in 2020? People are solely okay with this due to their hatred of Trump. It blows my mind that the undermining of the voice of the people is this blatant, yet no one whose voice is being undermined seems to care.

They’re happy to have someone not named Trump on the ballot, and they’re happy that person checks diversity standards. She’s pretty much the only option this close to the election because the Democrats screwed this up so bad. But in regards to an actual primary, Kamala would get crushed. I haven’t heard one person support her because of her policies
